Advantages: Aesthetically Pleasing, Great Sound, Power Saving Features Disadvantages: Standard Resolution lacks in clarity
...I bought the 42 inch LG5000 from Currys at a cost of £649.99 a little over a month ago now.
WOW! What a TV.
<<< Setup >>>
The box is huge and does come in handy for keeping the kids happy for a while leaving enough time for you to get the TV up and running.
Once unwrapped and plugged in it really is a breeze.
As I began to set-up the TV, the size of it made an impression on me. As I fired it up the next thing to attract my attention, was the great easy to use set-up menu which takes you through the set-up step by step, explaining everything as you go through. Once set-up was complete, I got down to sampling the many features on board.

The colours stood out to me from the outset, with vibrant, bright tones and great deep and detailed blacks. High definition images are fantastic giving...

Advantages: Clarity, detail, a movie experience at home, people's mouths fall open. Disadvantages: Any weakness in TV signal will be quickly apparent because of size.

The sound quality is probably typical of that to be heard on plasma televisions. It's loud and clear and quite acceptable. We even use it in its standard form. The news, for example, rarely benefits from having lots of speakers around the room. It produces a sound quality quite suitable for Newsnight or anything involving debate and speech.

Using the optical output (why waste a valuable HDMI one) we feed a large surround sound amplifier and five speakers plus a thumping subwoofer. This does justice to so mighty an image and makes a movie on the LG50PC56 an even more...

Advantages: Very nice at the right price. Disadvantages: Only the name.

It is of course HD ready, and as the title suggests, has a 32 inch screeen, big enough for me, although perhaps you want bigger, if so, LG do a good range of different sizes.
This particular model has a built in Freeview Receiver, and an XD Engine Image Processor, and can be stood on a desktop, on it's stand, or wall mounted.
As for the colour, I have decided to put my hand in my pocket and go for the black, right on cue! For years now, different manufacturers have swapped between black and silver, and both have stood the test of time, it is of course entirely up to you.
The size of the screen is measured diagonally, from corner to corner, and the resolution is 1366x768. It has 20W of sound...

I bought this monitor after my 21 inch monitor decided to fry itself not long after my tv had also given up.
I was looking for a monitor that would give me a decent enough resolution for using design programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. Running at more
