I purchased this machine mid 2006. It worked well but the DVD laser failed after just after a year.
It would play CD's but not DVDs, or burn them.
Contacted LG's help line and got in contact with a local agent.
They had the machine for over 6 months and then declared it 'Beyond economical repair'.
The spares are hard to find and very expensive. Only authorised agents can obtain spares apparently.
LG are not very helpful when it comes to spares and repairs.
I will think twice before buying and LG product again. ...
