I bought this a few months back when I was building my PC. I was looking for something that was combo for writing CD's but did not require a DVD RW drive. This was perfect! The pricing is excellent for this drive and is perfect for a budget builder.
You just plug it into the IDE slot install a few drivers for DVD play and viola!
I have never experienced a problem with Writing Cd's and every time the CD comes out perfect. DVD playback also is very smooth. The colour is great for a black computer case which I have so you don't end up with a silly beige one.
Mine did not come with an installation booklet, but that was not needed as that is included with your motherboard. However it was OEM the one i bought so if you buy a retail one I am sure it will include one.
LG is known for its great pricing and reliability which reflects strongly in this product. 10/10
