LG GSA E50L Super-Multi

Advantages: Supports most disk formats, fast, cheap
Disadvantages: I hate installing internal drives

...I store a lot of video on my computer and recently I have seen the remaining space come closer and closer to 0 so I decided to do something about it so I bought myself this drive. It is described as a Super Multi DVD Rewriter' and it certainly does that and a bit more. BASICS It is an internal drive which comes in three different colours (silver, black or your traditional computer beige) and it can write many different formats of disks. I got the black one as my computer has a black case but that's the only reason because no matter what the colour they are all the same technically. I got this for just under £30 which I was fairly happy with because I wanted a drive for under £40 which could read write and play DVDs. ... Introduction As with most drives they do not last long, thus when it was time to give up the old one i went shopping for a new one. I came across this one which was extremely cheap and thus bought it as LG has become more reputable. The Pros This drive was very easy to install. It was practically a plug and play drive. It also came with different front panels in order to change colors from black and white. Although this may seem pointless it is a factor to take into consideration if you are after certain specification like color for your computer. The drive has never had a problem playing any cd's DVD's and etc. It is also very quiet unlike many drives out there. ...LG GSA H54N DualLayer - My review A LITTLE INTRO If I own this DVD writer is simply because when I assembled my computer it was the only black optical drive to match the colour of my "tower". I can tell you, this appliance annoyed me from the very beginning. [A note for who doesn't know anything about computers at all, this device serves the purpose of reading DVDs and CDs and also writing data on them.] REVIEW Now on my review... It is sharp looking, no complaints there. The problem is that at the access is incredibly slow; to put it in a simpler way when I insert a CD or a DVD in this drive it takes too long a time before it actually opens the contents of the discs, enough time to get my fingers tapping on the desk.
