I bought this monitor a couple of months back for £150 and I use it with my laptop at home as a secondary monitor. LG had a good reputation in my opinion at producing good quality electrical products and in particular TV's and Monitor's. This was one of the main catalysts behind me purchasing this particular product.
The monitor is black in colour and I think it has been designed well and looks good. It is a 23 inch wide screen monitor and has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. This is a fairly high resolution screen and does the job for me. The picture quality is nice and sharp. You may want to look at something which is higher spec'd if you are looking to be playing games, which I don't.If you want to measure up your desk to ensure one of these will fit the dimensions are width 54.9 cm x depth 23 cm x height 42.2 cm.
The monitor has both a DVI output which is your standard plug with the pins and normally slots into place and you can then tighten with two screws. The monitor also supports HDMI which is the High Definition alternative. This is the option that I use and generally provides a better picture quality with it being HD. Point to note is not all laptops and PC's support HDMI although it is becoming more and more common. The monitor is essentially plug and play, no software required. You just need a power socket and a free DVI or HDMI slot on your computer. I found the monitor very easy to install, it was unboxed and working within 10 minutes.
I have had no reliability issues to date and I think this is a good mid-range, well priced monitor. I don't believe you will find much better at the price. No complaints from me and definitely gets my recommendation. Also posted on Dooyoo under hunts1874.
