One of the striking aspect of this phone is the fact that it is designed by Prada, one of the best designer of all. I didn't get this phone when it came out since it was too expensive and still it is a bit expensive. I have managed to get this phone at the price of 160 Pounds which i thought it was reasonable.
First, when i bought and received the phone, i really liked the box which came with it. A black cube box with the word Prada on top of it. It was truely one of LG's orginal idea (It also did with the LG Chocolate) and i thought the box was very relevant to the phone as being sexy, haha. They always say you would need to design EVERY aspect of the mobile phone that comes with it.
+Phone Analysis+ You would just love this wide 3 inch touch screen. The design is so simple yet so powerful. The silver strip that goes along the side of the phone really does give the distinctive style to it.
At the back of the phone, you see the camera on the top left hand corner and the word ' Schneider - KREZNACH' is engraved just below the camera to sell the idea of the camera lens is from original kodak. Also the buttons which are on the side of the phone is flushed to its side so there is no excessive bulkness of the phone. The three button that must have on the phone is call, cancel and off/on button which is on the bottom of the phone below the screen. Having these three buttons as a strip again adds that special aspect of the phone. Ergonomically the size of the phone is just the right size for a normal hand which grips the phone tightly.
+Functions of the phone+ Whenever, i turned the phone on, i was scared by the noise it came out as the phone was turning on (It was like a sound of car racing on a race track) but not i'm really enjoying when the phone is turning on. The striking thing is the Prada theme which is preset to the phone and it gives a very strong retro to it.
There are four preset theme installed on to the phone - Prada Theme - this is the black/white theme Blue Theme - This is basically the prada theme in colour, blue Butterfly Theme - When the screensaver is on, you can make the butterfly move to where your finger is. Fish Theme - This follows the same pattern as the butterfly theme
At the bottom of the screensaver is the shortcuts to the function. The four dots brings up the main menu, the phone brings up the keypad, the envelope brings up the messages and the phone which is on the notepad brings up the contacts. Also, on the screensaver the analogue clock is preset to it but you could change this to digital as well. When you press the clock, at the side of it, it pops up the shortcut of the alarm clock for an easier access.
One thing about this phone i got confused about is the key lock button which is on the right hand side of the phone which i didn't realise until the phone was on lock.
Texting on this phone takes quite bit of time to get used to. It's easier to work with normal input rather than predictive text since i still have no idea how to add words on to the dictionary. Because the phone is touchpad, you would need to press it quite gently. I have compared the touch pad sensitivity with the LG Chocolate and i have found that Prada Phone is less sensitive.
The camera on this phone is quite good. At daylight, it's perfect, however, at night, it is very hard to take photos. The flash is available however, it is one of those flash that just turns the bulb on. Also, whenever you are on the camera mode, the orientation changes to landscape maximising the resolution.
The quality of the mp3 player is not too bad either but it's not as good as Sony Ericsson's Phone. You can also put the mp3 player into BGM (BackGround Music) so you could listen to the music and text at the same time. However, the downside of this phone is storage. The phone memory is so low that you could only hold one or two songs on to it. However, you can put an external card to maximise the memory.
The games you get on this phone is not that great because you would need to use the touchpad. You get four games on this phone: Halloween Fever - this is quite a boring game where you would have destroy little blocks by grouping them Photo Puzzle - like it says, it's a photo puzzle. Virus - This is incredibly a stupid game, where you would need to press the virus to kill it and by the time you finish one stage, you get smudges all over your screen. Pipe - What you do is join the pipe so that the water could flow from bath/toilet etc to the drainage.
Other essential features include, bluetooth, FM radio, camcorner, voice recorder, calculator, alarm clock, memo, calendar, world clock.
In conclusion, this is a great stylish sexy phone that holds quite a number of functions but texting requires some time to get used to.
