This phone is available on pay monthly ranging from free up to around a hundred pounds depending on your price plan, but it is also available on pay as you go up to around £200. My boyfriend got this phone last weekend on a t-mobile contract, and I have to say it is such a nice looking phone I was very jealous. For me it has the perfect features, but it also has LG's renowned build quality that sees phones last a good year before major problems develop. Thought from a weeks worth of use it has already accumulated some smudgy finger prints, but with a totally heat sensitive front screen it is not surprising..!
Phone Specifications; Tri-Band - works in the UK and America Size - 101.2 x 50.7 x 14.4 262k screen colours Screen Size - 2 in/ 1.5 in Fm Radio, Mp3 player, Bluetooth Both SMS and MMS messaging 3.0 mega pixel camera, with 4x digital zoom, auto focus and multi shot features, edit facility and ability to change photo resolution 40Mb in built memory, and up to 2Gb micro SD card port WAP Java Quick access functions to camera and Mp3 player
In box features; Phone Charger Data cable Data CD Manual Pouch
Opinion;
The most interesting thing about this phone or at least something that is given in the box when you buy the phone, is a pouch, because trust me it is definitely needed. The screen is so prone to fingerprints sticking to it. I never thought a phone could attract so much grime within a few minutes of using it..! Although if you are unlucky enough to be somewhere cold, it I fairly difficult to use the touch screen as it doesn't seem to respond too well in the cold. What surprised me most except for the fact it become increasingly dirty very quickly was the fact that as a person who has really long nails, used them to press the button, surely if this is a heat sensitive touch screen my nails could not register on the phone?!
The display to be able to navigate around the phones gives you 5 changable options, they are; Menu Messaging Sound/Vibrate Call Log Contacts Expand the bottom screen for a continuation of the screen
By changing the sound/vibrate options you can make the phone vibrate when moving around on the touch pad, when scrolling down. To scroll down the menu there is the option to either use the '+' sign in the middle and scroll down or press the down arrow every time to move the menu. When expanding the bottom screen to incorporate the theme, it does show for example in the aquarium theme the silhouettes of adults and children as if they actually were in an aquarium. The most publicised one is of the little dog, which has a shadow of the dog running along the bottom, but I feel the aquarium theme is nice, with a Shark, Puffa-fish and Turtle.
I was looking through the actual menu of the phone and at first found it very difficult to find the camera application, for the first few times the camera application I had to use from sliding down the phone again and pressing the dedicated camera button on the side. Unlike the Sony Ericsson's this LG doesn't have the camera shutter that protects the camera from dust and such nasty things that get into even the most cared for mobile phones. Neither does this phone have a cover for the camera from the back casing as in he 'Chocolate.'
The actual camera is pretty good; it has numerous different options of resolution which is great if the picture is going to be sent in a MMS, as the smaller resolutions can be used, but for a good quality photo without pixilation the biggest resolution. The picture quality on the highest resolution is brilliant especially with the anti-shake function switched on; it does provide the same kind of quality as a digital camera on its own, with many features, like the anti-shake, auto focus and digital zoom.
The in-built memory is 25Mb, but for most this is not enough, but for even the biggest photo taken on this phone there is more than enough room for a fair amount of photos. The phone takes a micro SD card, which are fairly easy to get hold of, it can take up to a 2Gb memory card, which is significantly less than is actually available, even wit the Nokia N95, which can take up to an 8Gb memory card, which is a downside.
When making calls the phone is practically crystal clear, the only downside is obviously your own network coverage in the area, having been on both the receiving and calling end of a phone call, I would say that the phone calls are of a relatively good quality. But obviously the screen is going to get a bit sweaty and sticky from being pressed to your ear if you are on the phone for a long time, but for short phone calls it's much more appropriate. I'd also imagine that if the phone is cold then it would be very cold on your ear when making a phone call anyway..! The phone holds 50 missed calls, received calls, and dialled calls.
The messaging feature is really innovative, when typing a text message, it is in either predictive text or type in your own way as is present within most phones. There is also a fantastic feature that I think is a really ingenious idea. When making a text message there is a feature where you can use your own handwriting can be used on the touch pad, providing your handwriting is clear enough the phone will automatically recognise the letter and give you a message done in your own hand..!
The battery I have found is average, it doesn't last overly long but it's not too short, most people charge their phones over night so this is a perfect phone for those of you who like to charge your phone every day to be protected just in case you get caught out without your charger. It takes around 2-3 hours to charge if the phone is switched on, if it's off it will obviously take less time and last longer.
As I mentioned before this phone is available on pay monthly and pay as you go… If you are old enough it is cheaper on pay monthly, but if you want to rely on yourself pay as you go is a much better idea..!
This phone is fantastically innovative and is worth the money, it has so many features that a lot of phones don't. The handwriting feature of the messaging is so different that I think in a few months time lots of phone companies will be doing this to their phones, and we can say LG got there first..!
If you want a different phone with individual features, this is the phone for you, with the excellent LG build quality and the value for money; you can't go far wrong with an LG.
Advantages: Touchscreen, camera Disadvantages: No 3G, expensive
The LG Venus KF600, provided to me by LG Blog, is a fairly new slider phone which is partially touchscreen. Unlike the LG Viewty, there are two screen (one of which, the InteractPad is touchscreen) and numbers and letters are inputted through a standard keypad.
The phone's key feature, the InteractPad, replaces traditional navigation keys and updates depending what you want to do. When the phone is shut, no buttons are visible because it is a screen ... ...cancel buttons. I wonder if LG provide an SDK for Java developers to create interactive applications considering the default games interactively utilise the InteractPad. Quite impressively, this screen has a resolution of 176x240px in addition to the phone's main 240x320px screen.
The phone is 2.5G, using EDGE which compared to 3G technologies is slow with a maximum of about 240kbps. Whilst I understand this is probably for cost cutting (or battery ...

LG KF600

The KF600 is an innovative dual-display slider with a touch-sensitive interactpad screen with contextual soft keys. Unfortunately this concept is scuffered by an iffy interface. A spacious mechanized keypad helps out, but this is an ill-conceived phone. Lethargic EDGE speeds hinder web browsing, the 3MP snapper is ruined by shutter and autofocus lag and the music player is woefully basic. WHAT IT ... ...a new products fables so long as it gives you a taste of better things that might be just around the corner. Ohers claim youre a sucker for anything sci-fi, but you know better.
I say 3 stars

Advantages: Good look, MP3 Player, Not bad camera Disadvantages: Well it's nothing special, it just has touch menu....
Hi! Why slider? I named it "The Slider Phone" because it has specific sound when you slide it up or down. You can change this sound, but not to anything you want. You can change it to one of five sounds. On the phone you have the standard numbers and touch menu. You have Internet(if you buy it with package), and you have the full statistics of calls. You also have "tool box" if I can say it in that way... In this "tool box" you get: Alarm Clock, ... ...Then there is Multimedia part too. In there you get MP3 Player, Camera, Video Camera, Radio and Sound Recorder. You can write SMSes like on every phone. This thing is nothing special... And then we come to our things. You have special folders for Photos, Sounds, Videos, Documents, Other, Games and Applications and if you have memory stick you have special folder for it too. You have your contact links, and settings too, but I can't write nothing ...

...as an upgrade to my LG Shine phone after much searching and researching, as I liked the idea of having a touch screen interface as well as slide function and a keypad for texting. I found the battery cover to be difficult to remove but after a couple of tries it seemed to get easier, although I wouldn't exactly describe it as user friendly. The touch screen was accurate and easy to use and although it was 'only' a 3.2 mega pixel resolution the camera ... ...which I particularly liked as the pictures came out really well. There are all the standard functions on the phone like calendar, calculator, note function etc. The battery life was pretty good, a full charge lasts several days but if you are making a lot of calls or sending texts then it might be better to keep a second charger at work or invest in a car charger to keep the battery topped up. The phone itself is a lovely, sleek black but I was a ...

The new LG kf600
My friend owns this phone and he was disappointed, so was I.
My friend managed to buy this phone online on a contract for 12 months, this phone will cost around £300 new on pay as you go, but could be found for less on bidding websites such as www.ebay.com.
Now to the phone, this phone has a three megapixel camera not amazing but this is not designed to be a camera phone. A good feature about this phone is the touchscreen interactive ... ...release to date is the Lg KF700 which i would recommend more to buy, if you want to know more about this phone you can look at my other reviews.
One of the biggest let downs on this phone is the wallpapers there is a boring variety to choose from which does not liven up the phone, a let down when you first purchase this phone and you want a bit of a play around. This phone has some cool little extras but i do not think it is worth the money, for ...

Advantages: Good camera, small and light phone. QWERTY keyboard for texting Disadvantages: Screen switches itself off after too short a time
I recently upgraded to my new LG KM900 Arena from my current LGKF600 Venus after a bit of an argument with my (now) former provider.
I got a great deal from Orange so I'm now the proud owner of the Arena.
It's a candybar phone with a completely touch screen interface. I was a bit wary about not having a keypad but this phone is very responsive and I haven't had any trouble so far. My phone has a screen protector on it so it doesn't get scratched and this hasn't affected the way the phone responds to touch.
It has the unique 'S-class' interface which has four different screens - the widget screen which is completely customizable, the contacts screen which displays your favourite contacts, the shortcut screen which is again customizable to your own choice and the multimedia screen which displays your favourite tracks ...
