When I first saw this phone, I simply had to have it. It is such a lovely, sexy phone with a great feel to it - it's sleek, smooth and just simply sexy.
Although phones mostly aren't made for specific genders, I would class this as more a ladies' phone - because of the design, but also because of features like the the tones it plays when using the keypad [this can be turned off - many people find this extremely annoying!].
I have had this phone for nearly a year now (I bought it from an importer when they weren't yet available in the UK), and still love using it every now and then. Mostly as an accessory.
Whilst the display and shell is absolutely beautiful, it is pretty much standard to any other mobile phones out there and doesn't stand out in any other category and has quite a few disadvantages to it.
The alarm, for instance, does not have a snooze button [not something that bothered me much, as I have more than one mobile lines and can use another), that I have heard quite a number of people complain about. Also: the battery life is extremely limited in comparison to other mobiles of it's genre, which is a terrible let-down. It is not easy to find replacement batteries for it, unless you buy a generic product off the net, which is what I have had to do. Unfortunately, as it goes with these, it is not a proper LG fit and proves difficult to remove once attached. I have also bought a car-charger for it, which I have not had any reason to complain about to date.
I have found on several occassions that the it 'hangs' whilst you are busy texting, which is TERRIBLY annoying!!! You would then not be able to turn the phone off via the button, but have to remove the battery in order to restart. Needless to say, you have lost everything you have texted and will have to start from scratch. It also switched itself off a few times whilst I was using it.
As for the reception: not the best I've experienced, out of 10, I'd give it probably about a 5/6. I do understand that sometimes it is the network as opposed the phone that actually is the problem - I have used this phone on: T-Mobile, O2, Vodafone as well as the 3 network, where I've had better reception on Sony Ericsson and Samsung phones.
The rest of the features on the phone are what you would expect of them: they are on par with other phones of its type, the camera is pretty much standard, the memory isn't outstanding, but it also isn't the worst you'll find... The games are different, and can be downloaded, the bluetooth function sufficient [can't really say much about that, Bluetooth is pretty much standard.] The phone is not altogether a let-down and does what it's supposed to: it's a mobile phone. You can ring and text people and receive same.
All this said, I still do enjoy the feel of the KG 810 in my hand and using it, albeit not as much as I would've thought when I got it originally.
It is a lovely phone to have if you do not expect much from a phone and do not require it to be above average.

Quick review of LG KG810 Review ofLG KG810by

The mobile phone is fantastic. I have previously had Nokia phones which I found very easy to use and with features such as media and internet access. However, in comparison I have found the LG much better as the phone itself is much more durable, it has an excellent quality when taking photographs as it has a 2.0 mega pixel lens and the settings for photographs can be adjusted. Plus, the media player is really smart when the phone is closed as it operates by touch on the front of the phone and the sound quality is excellent. Plus, you can read text messages on the front screen without opening the phone. I would definately recommend this phone!
