--My Three For One Deal--

My three for one deal, came about because My mobile phone screen display had gone all distorted, there was no way I could continue to use it. To be honest I don't use my mobile phone all that much, mainly just for texting.
It was about a year and a half ago that this happened, so I went searching for something to replace my old phone. I found my three for one deal on the "Carphone Warehouse" website.
Along with the phone I wanted, I also got a contract and a "nintendo Wii". This was perfect and just at the right time as well. My husband desperatley needed to go on to a contract as his phone is used constantly, and my son's birthday was coming up so the "Nintendo Wii" would be perfect as a prezzie for him.
So we all benefited from me getting this phone. The only colour available on the deal at the time was pink, but I could live with that and I am still using it today, it's in the same good working order as it was when I first got it.

--LG Cookie KP500--

In the box along with the actual mobile phone, there is the phone battery, a USB cable, a set of ear phones, an LG PC Suite disk with instructions on how to set it up. (This is everything you need to connect to your PC so you can move your files from phone to PC and vice versa). There is also a spare screen protector, an instruction book and charger.
The phone comes in various colours.
The actual size of the phone is about 4 and a half by 2 and a half inches and half an inch deep.
With a touch screen the size being just under 3 and a half inches.
There are three main buttons acoss the bottom front of the phone, Power on/off, recieve call and multitasking.
Along the side of the phone are the charger, cable and hands free connector, volume of key tone, and volume of ear piece.
Along the opposite side are the socket for a micro SD memory card, lock and unlock key, capture button and the slot where you slide in the stylus.
The phone has a 3 mp camera and a video camera.
With all the usual features ie: Calling, texting, contacts e.t.c. and bluetooth.
The menu map enables you to access further menus, communicate, Entertainment, Utilities and settings.
Whenever your phone is not in use it will return to the home screen, from there you can access all the menu options, make a quick call and view the status of your phone as well as many other things.
On the standby screen there are the quick touch keys: calls, address book, messaging and top menu (which opens up sub menus to view further options).
The phone combines SMS, MMS and Email into one intuitive and easy to use menu.
It has a handwriting recognition option, which enables you to write on the screen, using the stylus provided, and it will convert your hand writing into your message.
You can set up and use Email.
You can store any multimedia files into the phones memory so that you have easy access to all your pictures, sounds, videos and games. You can also save your files to a memory card, to free up space on your phone.
You can install games/applications via local install (the instruction book shows you how to do all this).
As I mentioned before you can sync the phone with your PC using the disk provided, this is very easy to set up and use.
You can access the internet from the phone using the browser facility.

--My experience using the phone--

I wanted a touch screen phone, but I wanted something easy to get to grips with (I'm not very good with mobile phones) I must admit I quite liked the look of the phone when I took it out the box, I did have a difficult time transfering data from my old phone as I couldn't really see anything on the screen, but I managed eventually. I found it very easy to navigate around, the phone is very self explanitary as you work your way through, more and more things become clear and very easy to understand. The phone in my opinion has a lot of different things on it, a lot more than what I had been used to. I have downloaded a few games onto my phone which as it happens, I got for free from the "LG Website". I think the sound and picture quality of the phone are great, much better than what I've experienced before with other phones, really reliable and easy to use. The touch screen sensitivity can be changed to be as sensitive as you want it to be. The battery life, well I keep my phone on all the time and only have to charge it once a week, but I guess the more you do with your phone, the more you would have to charge it.
My 13 year old son was also impressed with the phone and asked for one for that following christmas.
I am somewhat impressed with this phone, as it has been dropped and in pieces a few times and apart from a few surface scratches, is still going strong, I'm not one for all these expensive gadgety phones which will do everything for you, except walk the dog. I'm sure I'm not the only person who just wants a phone to do what a phone should do.

--Overall--

The phone looks nice, easy to use, hard wearing and is lasting me quite a long time, and best of all was free.

I give this phone 5 stars because it does what I want it to do and more.
