I've been using the LG L1710B for just over a year now so for those interested in buying one this may help. The set up was extremely easy and as I have 2 computers I was able to link both of them to this monitor as it has both standard and DVI input and an easily accessable button which you use to switch bewteen the two inputs. The picture quality is outstanding and can handle a maximum resolution of 1280x1024, also the 17" screen size is the actual viewing area (on CRT monitors 17" is approx 15" viewable). The extremely fast refresh rate of 16ms makes this monitor a true all-rounder as this means that the screen can keep up with up to date, high speed, demanding games without any problem at all - not many of the flat screen TFT monitors out there can boast this refresh rate and this is the first TFT i've used that can keep up, i've just finished playing Doom 3 and there wasn't one situation where ghosting or slowdown took place. Another thing I've noticed is that not only is the picture sharp, but the colours are fantastic and have never seen them as deep or vivid on any other monitor than this one. The preset lightview modes are handy, this menu allows you to skip through text, movie or photo modes both on day or night settings, a user mode is also included so you can easily select your original settings at the touch of a button. The menu has adjustments for brightness/contrast, tracking, position, colour and set up which allows you to restore to factory settings if you make the incorrect settings. At the rear of the monitor you can plug in usb devices, this is very handy for me as the monitor is more accessable than my computer base unit and easier to plug in my phone and camera. There were no dead pixels on my monitor when purchased and i've used it for over a year now and believe me it's had an awful lot of use, I can whole-heartedly recommend this monitor to anyone who's in any doubt about buying one. I paid £350 for mine and was worth every penny, now it's available around £100 pound cheaper and at that price is an absolute bargain.

I have one of these as well. Never looked back! I can't seem to buy another one as I want similar dual screen(two monitors for one computer). If someone knows where I can actually get this specific model, please let me know. Thanks!!
