I first got my LG L1710B about 2 and a half years ago; which yes in the world of computers may aswel be a century ago. with the introduction of the LG L1710B one of the first 16ms response screens on the market gamers and film viewers can now watch their screens without seeing an anoying ghost of what they are seeing on screen. when i first baught mine it cost me £360.00 which took forever to save trust me. straight from the box i loved it. it was huge considering i'd come from a 15" CRT monitor. plug it in and it worked great! i'm still using the DSUB connector 2 years later but i tell you i'm damn determined to start usin the DVI connectors.
the monitor has two menus. one menu is from when you press the menu button. (obviously) where you can find color, positioning, and all the monitor settings you could ever need. the second menu is when you press the light view up or down arrows which brings up a list of preset brightness's. and to be honest i'm always using the "NIGHT TEXT" mode. i don't think i can handle the "DAY TEXT" setting no more becuase its like OUCH ... gimmi some sunglasses its totally bright. i'm not sure of the light ratio on the monitor cos the box is long gone but i'm sure its like 600:1 i think.
and to tell the truth i cannot and this is truthfully! i cannot find no bad points at all. only thing i can moan about is them silly stickers which they have on the front of all monitors.
but yeah a really good monitor which is proced at £179.00 or about. after having this screen off LG i think if this monitor does ever die. ill be gettin another one from them!
