I've had this monitor now for just shy of 1 year, and it has been fantastic for every second. Firstly, widescreen is an absolute must. You really don't know what you're missing if you haven't ever used a widescreen monitor. The space available and the immersion you get from movies and games is brilliant. Great monitor . I am a FPS games player , Quake 4 , Dod source etc. and I am very happy with it in all respects . I paid $349 Canadian . Active matrix is the way to go now that they are this cheap to buy. The only negitive is that it does not come with a DVI-D cable . I got one for 25 bucks. The 2000:1 contrast ratio is done through their built in software in movie mode only , however I play Quake 4 in that mode and it works great .
