New LG with a new PC

Advantages Great picture quality and reasonable price.
Disadvantages Basic monitor stand and aesthetics.
Many wide screen monitors are now on the market making it hard to choose which to go for, even harder if you are getting a monitor as part of a PC bundle. This monitor was purchased with a new PC as an upgrade from an unbranded standard 20" monitor, and I am delighted I chose it.
Picture quality is great, good definition and sharp text when working and great colour depth for photos and web browsing. The 5ms response time is more than quick enough for gaming and no blur is detectable when watching video playback. The 22" screen size is fantastic, especially when you are working with documents or large spreadsheets.The LG monitor was easy to assemble from the box and the bundled software makes it a cinch to fine tune as well as the easy to locate and use front panel buttons. The only drawbacks were the lack of adjustment in the stand and that the silver finish looks a little dated compared to the sleek black finish of (pricier) HP and Samsung screens.
