Firstly the monitor can be used for dual purposes - for example if you don't have a TV no worries you can use this instead. It comes with a handy remote that lets you switch between inputs for ... ...options that you can choose to take up. The remote also gives every option you would get on a normal TV remote, i.e. volume, brightnes, program up and down, menu options and the choice to press the tv numbers if you so wish. It comes with digital TV already built in so if you've not quite got round to buying a set top box and don't want to get cable or sky then this is all you need.

Firstly the monitor can be used for dual purposes - for example if you don't have a TV no worries you can use this instead. It comes with a handy remote that lets you switch between inputs for example your computer input, tv input, and several other AV options that you can choose to take up. The remote also gives every option you would get on a normal TV remote, i.e. volume, brightnes, program up and down, menu options and the choice to press the tv numbers if you so wish. It comes with digital TV already built in so if you've not quite got round to buying a set top box and don't want to get cable or sky then this is all you need.
The monitor is 19 ", flat screen with speakers built in at the bottom. The sound quality is very good (Dolby Digital) and you'll never have any issue with the tv or any games, music you may play. The power on/off button has a touch sensitive part to it so to turn it off all you need to do is push your finger lightly on it. It comes in the colour black and looks very stylish on my desk so i'm pretty sure it will look great on yours.
It is very easy to use and even with the switching of inputs I'm pretty sure you will soon become a whiz.
One thing that is common about flat screens however is they can appear very dark at certain times as obviously the screen is different to a old monitor. Also if you're lying down then the images will appear mainly as dark shadows. Bit annoying but it's the same with all modern flat screen technology!
I do believe it is also HD ready. I really can't say anything that negative about this TV other then if your Tv and your internet cables are too close it may affect signal. This is a problem I experienced anyway.

A fantastic little flatscreet television which is perfect for the person wanting a stylish and modern tv but who are on a limited budget.
I have never bought my own tv before and thought that i would come across quite a few problems due to my lack of confidence with technology and electrical items but not once have i experienced a problem with this product.
It was easy to get out of the packaging and all i had to do was plug it in and my tv was ... ...and let the television do the work for me while it found all analogue channels and then went on to search for the freeview channels, which are built into the tv itself.
Becuase of the situation of my house, it was necessary for me to buy a freeview ariel, but that too came at a small price. and simply pluged into the back of the tv...easy enough for a child to do!
I can pick up all the channels that i wanted including ITV2, E4 and many radio channels ...

Advantages: Price, remote, warranty Disadvantages: Not as stylish as some
...On the side of the LG it comes with a very nice remote control which the Samsung did not. It also comes with a dvi - dvi, D-sub and audio cable but no S- Video. There is no HDMI but as my PC will only have DVI out I am not too fussed.
I have not tried it with a PC yet as I have had various problems with an order. I only have it connected to RF2 on my Sky box (No Aerial) at the moment but I am more than satisfied with the picture. This is taking ... ...a 3 year warranty. Overall I am very impressed as I have been with other LG products. Does not have the style of the Samsung but plenty of other things going for it.
Will update this when I have tried it with my PC when it arrives. ...
