After losing my previous television to a short-circuit, i was in desperate of a new set. Having been with a Toshiba for a while, i decided to buy from elsewhere. I was reluctant to buy an LG, as my friends had told me of their experiences with LG's poor sound quality on many of their products. After looking around, i found this and decided to risk it.
For starters, id like to point out how impressed i was with the number of input and output ports on the monitor. i could have my PlayStation 3 and PC plugged in at the same time, and still watch TV with the built in freeview, which comes with all the channels you would expect from any freeview box.
The sound quality was good, but not great. if you set the volume too high, then it starts to sound a bit metallic, but after owning a Toshiba I was very used to this. The image quality more than made up for the sound quality. Capable of high resolutions, and high contrast levels (10000:1). you can be so immersed in the image quality that your mind ignores the metallic sounding audio.
Of course nothing is perfect. I found the controller somewhat random, and there wasnt exactly a large range of features available. The stand that holds the TV is also a bit unstable, but the TV is wall-mountable, so that issue can be easily ignored.
overall this TV is stylish, cheap and excellent value for money
