Advantages camera, games, look of the phone,

Disadvantages battery life, touchpad not good for big fingers!

I got the LG Secret 8 days ago ( 18th birthday present!) and so far I'm pretty happy with it! It's part of the black label series, and has a very sleek design.

The backcover is made up of a 'carbon fibre' material, which not noly looks good but 'apparently' is pretty durable to, although I'll have to wait a little longer to see how well it lasts.

The front of the phone also looks pretty amazing too, the screen is nice and big and the touchpad ( made of tempered glass materials) lights up ( blue colour) when you press it. There is a central, slightly raised silver button, which leads to the menu, and is also used to select different functions. My fingers are tiny and I've had no problem whatsoever with the touchpad but my boyfriend ( who has v. large hands) finds it pretty annoying to use!

The navigation around the menu is staightfoward, use the left / right parts of the touchpad to navigate and the silver button to select where you want to go! I have barely looked at my 'user guide' yet I've already customised my phone, and used all my differnt functions ( it really is that simple!) But if you struggle with new phones the user guide that comes with the phone is clear and easy to understand.

The navigation on the touchscreen when I first opend it is as follows:

top right: takes you to 'my stuff' where your camera images and videos, music and games are stored, you can then press left and right to go to mesages, browser, phone book etc...

top left: 'contacts' just takes you straight to your phone book

top middle: ' quicky menu' takes you straight to function such as bluetooth, calender, and FM radio.

right: takes you to your messages, in box, out box, create new message..

bottom: takes you to your contatcs again.. a little confusing as so does the top right!

left: lets you change the phones 'profile' e.g. 'silent' so it's on vibrate, or 'normal' so it rings.

The phone slides up to reveal a normal keypad, the buttons are a good size, and again i've had no problems using it to text quickly, but I think people with larger hands may find it harder to use.

The buttons on the side of the phone are as follows:

top: these up / down arrows adjust volume or can be used to zoom in on the camera

middle top: takes you to the 'touch screen' function, where you can view photos and play games.

middle bottom: another shortcut to the menu

bottom: shortcut to the camera function, you have to hold it down for a couple of seconds to get there

One of the main things that attracted me to this phone was the 5 MP ( mega pixel) camera, I've only previsouly had a 3 mega pixel before and so far I haven't been dissapointed with it.

It allows you to zoom well, and you can have many different colour effects ( black and white, sepia, purple etc...) you can also adjust the brightness and white balence ( quite technical for a camera phone!)

Aftert he photo has been taken you can edit it further by adding frames, or funny symbols ( swirly glasses or devil horns..) you can also add a effect to the photo ( e.
