The LG X110 follows the usual notebook trend of trying to be as small as you possibly can be. I never quite understood this trend. I am not so impossibly weak that a portable computer cannot weigh much over 1kg. Nor am I Japanese teenager, therefore, I do not need to be able to fit all my stuff into a bag not much bigger than a matchbox. ...with most notebooks' keyboards and quite how they managed to fit such a comfortable keyboard onto such a small notebook is beyond me. I wish they could have performed the same trick with the screen though; it's far too small for my liking.

A not so impressive notebook, it has no positive things that set it apart from other notebooks, with the exception of the keyboard. Unfortunately, it does have a few negatives to set it apart.

Look and Design

I am not so impossibly weak that a portable computer cannot weigh much over 1kg. Nor am I Japanese teenager, therefore, I do not need to be able to fit all my stuff into a bag not much bigger than a matchbox. However, I am beginning to think this notebook's keyboard was designed by doctor who, it does not come with the usual uncomfortable typing problems that come with most notebooks' keyboards and quite how they managed to fit such a comfortable keyboard onto such a small notebook is beyond me. I wish they could have performed the same trick with the screen though; it's far too small for my liking.

Function

The trackpad is acceptable, but like all other ultra-portables, not as good as a reasonably sized laptop's, which comes from trying to make a product too small. As I have already mentioned the keyboard is brilliant for a notebook of this size. The integrated webcam is good quality and produces good visual.

The first major disappointment was the speakers; they were some of the worse quality speakers I have ever used. The sound was distant, hollow and very unclear.

The second was the battery. It had one of the most pathetic lives ever, lasting only about 1 hour and 30 minutes when I was using it.
Once again, no risks were taken; the rest of the function is just average notebook specifications with no thought given to wow factor what so ever.

Overall

Not a product I would recommend to anyone. I am certainly not keeping this.
