Like a lot of other women I'm not that happy with my weight and would love a quick fix other than the dratted gym which isn't always that easy to get to when you have two kids below school age!

I decided on Lipobind as I had seen the TV adverts and then found it on amazon and thought that since when I bought it, it only cost £10 that wasn't too much to lose if it didn't work.

Now the basic idea behind the tablets are that you take them after you have eaten and they bind the fat which then gets poo'd out- NICE! Admittedly a little scary sounding as I didn't want to poo myself but I figured what the heck.

Now the bumpf about the tablets says:
Lipobind is a certified medical device product with safety and efficacy assessed under Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC.

So it is safe woohoo and not some dodgey looking tablets in a pot off ebay! (not that I would ever do anything like that!)

The other info states:
Lipobind is a patented fibre complex of a natural and organic source and is clinically proven to bind dietary fat. Lipobind, when used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet and appropriate physical activity, is an effective tool for weight management, reduction of excess body weight and helps reduce food cravings, suppress appetite and reduce blood cholesterol.

Product Description
LIPObindTM is a natural supplement made from dried cactus extract that helps reduce the amount of fat our body absorbs from the food we eat. In clinical trials is has been shown to remove up to 27% of undigested fats and up to 150 calories from a standard meal. LIPObindTM binds fat as soon as it comes into contact with dietary fats in the stomach, creating a large fat-fibre complex. This fat-fibre complex with the undigested fat is prevented from being absorbed in the small intestine and is eliminated naturally through the stool.

Now this all sounds rather impression doesn't and I also read some pretty good sounding reviews to back it all up!

So my packet of tablets arrived and there are sixty in a pack. You are advised to take 4 tablets for a high fat meal and around 2 for a lower fat meal. The tablets themselves are pretty big and even though I don;t find tablets hard to swallow I didn't find these at all easy. They tasted pretty awful too so I made sure to swallow them with a strong flavour drink.

Now admittedly I have only been doing this for a week but in a week I have lost no weight at all. Okay at least I haven't put any on but I would have hoped to lose a pound or two at least. As for whether or not I poo'd myself well phew I DIDNT! However it did have a tendency to make my poo go a bit of an orange colour- PRETTY!

So would I recommend these? Probably not too be honest but hey maybe I need to give them a go for longer but i'm not convinced.

Also posted on Dooyoo under the same name!
