The Main Menu:

On the main menu there is 5 icons, a new game icon, a friendly match, load previous match, view high scores and an options button.

New Game:

When you click on the new game logo, then you also have a menu of five, the amount of players, a choice of two leagues, the English and Scottish, and two different types of games.
A full four year contract game or a short term challenge, there are 14 short term challenges:

Final countdown
Beat the drop
Race for the title
Rock bottom
Promotion race
Injury Crisis
Goals Galore
Cash Crisis
League Champions
Win the cup
The double
Fantasy Team
Big investor
Straight up

Also next on the icons list is staff control, where you can choose from three different options, No staff, all staff or just the commercial staff, the next icon is speed play, if turned on it will give you until 5:00 PM to do all you want to for the day, if the option is turned off no timer will appear and you will have more time.

Once you have selected all those details, you decide what team you wish to play with, then if you press x on the controller it will come up with four more options, Enter Name, Quick Start, Play game and options.

The Game

When you finally get into the game there are a lot of icons across the top, the first icon is squad, from there you can access, tactics, team, team and individual training, youth players and injury’s or bans.
When in tactics you can change formation, whether or not you wish to counter-attack or not, distance of passing, attacking distribution, also you can access player roles such as:

Free Kick
Left Corner
Right Corner
Man Marker

Also you can decide who takes your penalties, and decide from wide range of dugout tactics, in the training menu you can, you can either let a member of staff organise the training or you can do it yourself.

The next main icon is your youth squad, which basically is a squad no older than eighteen.

The next main icon is injuries and bans, where it displays Injured or banned players and how long they are out for and what type of treatment that person is receiving

The next main button is Laptop, there is 4 sub buttons, the telephone represents emails received, the number two represents a calendar, the bullet points all the matches being played next, the trophy represents all the cup matches that are going on.

The next main button is information, the first sub icon is the league table, then the form tables, next is the league position chart, which indicates where you have been in the league all season and your current position as well. The next sub button is club details, then top scorers where it gives details about the players name, how many they have played and how may scored. The next sub button is star squad, which is the best squad for the whole week; the next sub button tells you about your last match statistics and the next match coming conditions and details.

The next main button is transfer market, the first sub button represents player search button, then your short list, then your scouts details, and finally the last sub icon represents whether or not you wish to sell or loan your own players out.

Are you still reading this? If you are thank you.

The next main button is finance, the first sub button is bank statements which indicates whether you have made a profit or not annually or daily, the next sub button tells you if you have an loan out or not and if so all the details. Then you get an employment list, next is employee tasks, then player contracts, next is the sponsorship and then average match attendance.

The next top button is stadium, the first sub button give you information on your current stadium such as average attendance, stadium capacity, and how much each stand can hold in people.
The next sub button is construction which allows you to build two new stands at one time. The next sub button allows you to build a completely new stadium.

The last main button is records, the first sub button indicates your current performance, where it shows you directors rating of you, the fans rating, how many manager of the months you have had, your contract and contract clause, also there is an management rating, the next sub button indicates your history, then league champions over the years, then finally the cup winners.

Overall I think that the game is very good, and I would recommend buying it for any price, I like LMA manger because you can buy a dream team, and enjoy the pleasures of being a manager without having any hassle from the chairman or staff, the only dislikes I have about the game is the fact the game seems to crash a lot and takes too long to load the games. My favourite starting squad is Manchester United because they have loads of really good players, but I don’t believe Beckham is worth less than Ryan Giggs, I also like the game because you can have total control over the club, where as most games, you have to leave parts of jobs to the staff, whereas on this game you do not have to.

It's our old playstation that makes it crash, not the game. Like the title! Leigh-Ann x
