When choosing it, the label on the shelf stated RRP ... ...next door to this shop and indeedy….. it was in fact £14. So I toddled off home full of the joys of summer at bagging such a real bargain!!

☼☼☼ What is it and what does it offer? ☼☼☼
Most of the following information is taken from the bumph on the box and the bottle.

This is the good part! It comes in a cuboid box inside of which is what looks like a bog standard sun cream plastic container…. Not so!
It has a patented anti-sand dispenser which means that rather than unscrewing the lid and having to squeeze the lotion out, you simply twist the top which makes it go on a very slight angle, turn over and squeeze.
I love this for two main reasons: ~ I went to the beach once and do not have an affinity to sand at all. The breeze was up a bit which usually means that sand particles get in to the lid of sun creams when it’s on the towel and whilst applying the lotion. This didn’t happen with this little beauty as the lid was still firmly attached. Granted a few little bits of sand blew on to the hole but they were easily wiped away. ~ The lid also means that the cream does not ooze out. A gentle squeeze is needed but mountains of the stuff does not come out. I would rather this than some other creams where oodles of it pours out and you are stuck with too much and looking a tad greasy and over-lotioned!! No waste with this at all.
☼☼☼ What is the lotion like? ☼☼☼
~ Smell It has quite a feminine perfumed odour to it but not so feminine that t’other half wouldn’t apply it. However he is quite fair-skinned so needs must as that was the highest factor I took with me. The smell doesn’t hang around for too long though so it’s fine for blokes as well.
Unsure as to how it would fair on sensitive skin but I would presume that people with such sensitive skin would have a specific recommended brand which is what my friend uses.
~ The Lotion The cream itself is quite rich but easily applied and does absorb in to the skin relatively quickly. Their claim of non-greasy formula is fairly accurate. It doesn’t exude grease but there is a slight ‘clagginess’ if too much is applied. I was fine with just rubbing it in to my hands after application but t’other one had to wash his hands as he found it greasy. I put this down to the fact that he never ever applies any creams or lotions so anything of this nature is a tad too greasy for him. For me though it was fine and I didn’t walk round looking like a chip pan!
~ Protection The SPF 8 did the trick for me, no burning etc but again you have to pick the factor that is best for your skin. I can’t say that it improved my skin’s condition, it’s beyond repair now! However it did moisturise my skin whilst in the sun.
~ Water resistant In short, yes it is.

Sun creams are a must-have item, given the news I heard yesterday on the radio that skin cancer has risen by a frightening percentage, approximately a third. They put this down to sunbeds and a lot more people going abroad and going for the over-kill on sunbathing during the hottest hours, despite their skin being very fair and sensitive.
I only wish that the creams available to protect your skin against the dangers weren’t so expensive. I grabbed a huge, huge bargain and was delighted with the product. However if I had been shopping only in Boots I would have opted for their Soltan range which is quite a lot cheaper than the ‘branded’ creams.
This is a great sun lotion, very effective and the sand-resistant lid is fab, however I would not pay the full whack of £14 no matter how great the twisting nozzle lid is, I haven’t got that kind of excess cash to spare! But for those of you who have then try it.

...orange sun lotion range that L'oreal do and one of the best features of the bottle is that it has a anti sand lid. I actually didn't realise at first and spent a good few minutes trying to pull the lid off - if you're anything like me and didn't know this about the product then it would come in useful when trying to open! It basically has a lid that you turn 180 degrees and when you do it is angled so that when you squeeze it the lotion comes out ... ...is still obviously on so sand can't get stuck in it. Nifty!
Smell and feel:
The cream is quite a thick one and it fells nice to rub in - not oily and it does smell lovelly. It blends into the skin quite quickly so no waiting around to get dressed after applying! It is quite nice compared to some sun lotions.
Overall opinion:
Overall the sun lotion is pretty expensive considering that it only does the same as cheaper alternatives but it does smell ...

It comes in a plain white bottle with a yellow rim around the top. In silver, it has the words L'Oreal Paris printed. Underneath that, in blue Solar expertise on top of what looks like a sun with rays in it. Under that, it says SUN PROTECTION LOTION SPF "whatever the factor number you have" UVA/UVB PROTECTION. ... ...UNDER DERMATOLOGICAL CONTROL. It has a yellow flip top to open it and it's available with an anti-sand dispenser.
Should smooth and supple skin with 12 hours hydration instant soft and velvety effect.
My sample It came in a tint foil packet with a picture of the bottle and Trail sample in the corner.

When I got back to London, I just carried on with the usual SPF 15 enriched face creams I was using at the time. I didn't go out and buy any anti-brown spot cream after I got back from my holidays, simply because I didn't find any of the products capable of doing the job other than bleaching the skin or masking the impurities.
Selection
After a thorough look through the solar product section in Superdrug, I found one remaining bottle of L'OrealSolarExpertise Active Anti-Wrinkle & Anti-brown Spot SPF 50+ and the same product with SPF 20+. Amazingly, they were on Buy One Get One Free so I picked up the SPF 20+ as well, though I would have preferred if both had been SPF 50+ but these were their remaining stock. I finally paid 11.50 for two 50ml bottles ...
. The pump of this bottle is quite stiff though so be careful with it and always hold it close to the area where to want to spray,
otherwise you'd think it's a squirt gun.
What I really like about this sun spray is that it isn't greasy at all. I somehow don't like swimming in sweaty grease while tanning. Just goes to prove that a sun spray or lotion doesn't have to be greasy to be waterproof.
A small amount goes a long way of the white, lightly coconut-perfumed and matte cream that sinks in very quickly and leaves a moisturized, velvety sheen and feel on the skin.
To cover the face, do not spray it directly onto the face, use a blob from your palm instead. Avoid the eyes, it stings and irritates the eyes. For the face and eye area, I'm still using L'OrealSolarExpertise Anti Brown Spot Face and Hand Lotion.
What is says it does ...

'm personally using L'OrealSolarExpertise Active Anti-Wrinkle & Anti-brown Spot SPF 50 which I had at home already.
Other usage:
The neck is another area that dehydrates most with age and where the first wrinkles appear even before the first wrinkles on your face. So the neck and décolleté area needs the exact same treatment as the face.
I am now using Elemis to cleanse my neck in the morning and evening. I haven't actually increased the amount of product I apply to face and neck as I realised I've used too much on my face to start with. For face and neck area I still only need a pea sized amount.
Result:
This is the first product ever that makes my face feels 'squeaky clean' just like your hair when you washed it with a shampoo it really loves. A product that removes grease, but does leave the natural oil layers on ...
