This beautiful bank holiday Monday when I was feeling better after my tonsillitis and I decided to sit in the sun. As I didn't want to burn, I thought I'd try the free sample of Solar Expertise - Sun Protection Lotion SPF 15 from my magazine, New Woman. As I have quite fair skin but I don't burn that easily, I thought the SPF 15 was fine for me.
Packaging and price
In general, you can get Solar Expertise in SPF 8, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 60. They come in bottles or in tubes and you choose between spray and lotion form.

It comes in a plain white bottle with a yellow rim around the top. In silver, it has the words L'Oreal Paris printed. Underneath that, in blue Solar expertise on top of what looks like a sun with rays in it. Under that, it says SUN PROTECTION LOTION SPF "whatever the factor number you have" UVA/UVB PROTECTION. LONG LASTING HYDRATION And in small box in red: TESTED UNDER DERMATOLOGICAL CONTROL. It has a yellow flip top to open it and it's available with an anti-sand dispenser. Should smooth and supple skin with 12 hours hydration instant soft and velvety effect.
My sample It came in a tint foil packet with a picture of the bottle and Trail sample in the corner.

The product itself It's white. Has a very fresh and clean smell to it. Rubbed it onto my skin. My skin is naturally dry and quite sensitive. It felt a bit sticky and took quite a time to sink into my skin. It didn't sting but didn't have a refreshing feel on my face. A little bit went a long way. With the sample packet, I had enough to cover my face and neck complete twice in the day. After I'd sat in the sun for an hour or two, my skin felt tight and still a bit sticky (no not the masses of sweat :P). It did do it's job as I did not get sunburnt but it didn't moisturise my skin like my other Sun Tan lotion did and did not do what the packaging said. Non sticky. It's very sticky and stays that way for a long time. A day after my skin felt drier than before which I put down to this sun tan lotion.
Good things about the product It smells nice. It comes in many different SPF factors It has an anti sand dispenser.
Bad things about the product It's sticky Not moisturising It's pricey unless you get the buy 1 get 1 free deal.
I wouldn't recommend this to people. It makes you feel stickier than the sun can get you.
