I first came across this product a few years ago when it claimed to add only 3 x more volume – these days they’ve increased the hype, upgraded the formula and made it 4 x more effective apparently. Voluminous X4 is L'Oréal's first mascara to give 4 times thicker lashes and claims that it will result in no heaviness and no clumping. This has bein a staple in my makeup bag for over a year now, it's a nice basic mascara and I can't really fault it. It's widely available and I got mine from Boots for around the £8.50 mark, prices do vary though depending on where you get it from, i'd say the average price is between £7-£9 which is quite expensive but it's a decent quality mascara and a tube lasts for ages so I can't really complain. After many years of searching for the right mascara, one that would give me flawless lashes at an affordable price I think I have found it. The voluminous X 4 mascara from L’Oreal ticks all the right boxes in what I look for in a mascara and is now my weapon of choice when it comes to creating both my daily and nightly eye makeup look. 4 times the volume I thought? That seems a pretty tall order to me! If it does work-surely it would all clump together into one big eyelash?? Well, I will reveal all later in my opinion! The actual casing is grey with gold writing and a gold lid. It is a fairly standard size mascara and is 8ml. The mascara brush is quite a large brush-I find the thin ones difficult to use and the wrong shape for my eyes. This mascara is also suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
