I am one of these fickle people who buys various skin care creams as they are on offer and I do not stick to a paticular one. The one I haven`t tried, MUST be better than the one I am using so I can`t not buy it as it is reduced. Garnier. * * * * * *
Firstly, about Garnier. They sell a variety of products relating to skin and hair, including hair styling and colour. Their informative and colourful website, www.garnier.com has all of the product details and advises which skin it is suitable for (or hair). Quite impressively, Garnier use rigorous research and customer opinion to keep the product to what they promise. Apparently all Garnier products are the result of research and devleopment from the expertise of 3000 multi-disciplinary scientists and research staff. They state that there are 13 research centres and 13 evaluation centres worldwide. They then conduct surveys from customers who have bought the product (no tester freebies here then!) to ascertain whether it has been effective. They don`t actuallly say what type of reseach they undertake, but they do look at ultrasound scans of the skin to look in more detail at the structure to understand the skin and what it needs to keep it in good shape. They also claim to use natural ingredients and actually have Garnier, skin naturals on tube.
The eye cream claims to act on deep wrinkles offering comfort to skin and being fast and effective. The skin becomes smoother, softer and feels firmer. What it does not promise is to lift and firm the skin, but to make it feel firmer and reduce fine lines. On the tube it classifies it as an anti-wrinkle firming eye cream, which visibly increases the eye contour. I am not really sure what the last bit means, it conjures up images of deep eye sockets, but I suppose they just mean less bags and wrinkles.
Contains:-
The eye cream contains relaxing ginger and natural essence of cherries with smoothing AHA`s.
Price:-
Around £8.50 for 15ml.
Appearance. * * * * * * * * * *
Garnier Ultralift eyecream comes in a typically small tube 15ml, which seems to be consistent with most eye creams due to the small area. The tube is red, narrow and long (well, as long as 15ml can stretch) with a small hole at the end to squeeze it out, almost like piping icing. The cream itself is easy to squeeze out on to the finger. It doesn`t have much of an aroma, I can`t really explain it. It does smell natural, certainly not cosmetic smelling, not perfumed which I like.
Using. * * * * *
Squeeze some on to your finger, you should really use the little finger or ring finger as you cannot press as hard with those. The idea then is to dab it around and tap it in gently, as the area around the eye is very delicate. I must admit, I don`t always use my little finger and it takes too long to dab it in gradually, though I do sometimes. I usually gently rub it in and it sinks in very easily and gently indeed. It is readily absorbed by the skin without pressure, which is important for the delicate eye area. I tend to use it morning and night (now). Previously I was using it sparodically, therefore not feeling the absolute benefits, now I am using at all the time.
My Verdict. * * * * * * * *
I am going to buy some more of this.
Since I began using it regularly I think I have noticed a slight difference. I only have fine lines which seem to have improved sllightly, but I am optomistic that if I use this regularly, I will be able to slow the development of these lines. My lines are not too bad so to test it out, I used it on the bit between my eyes where I do have a couple of wrinkles and just at the side of my nose (one side) where I do also. This is caused, I am ashamed to say, by squinting in the sun and I have had these for years, nothing to do with age.
The first thing that I noticed was that the skin between my eyes felt incredibly soft and smooth. Around my eyes feels soft and smooth aswell, but it is more difficult to guage, which is why I am also testing this bit of skin. When I have used other creams that offer to smooth skin, I have found that my skin has felt tight and uncomfortable. The skin after using the Garnier, feels lovely. It is not greasy, just feels great. I think it has smoothed my lines slightly. I am a great fan of the programme 10 years younger and love the dramatic results achieved by surgery. I am not expecting dramatic results as my wrinkles are not too bad and I am certainly not going to resort to surgery in the future. I will look after my skin by using Garnier products. I am also using Garnier ultralift night cream which I have been using for a shorter length of time, so I can`t comment on it too much, though my skin feels softer and smoother. Funnily enough, the tips of my fingers feel softer and smoother aswell!
Where to buy * * * * * * * * * *
The price seems to be upwards of £8 in most places to £8.99. More expensive that some, but I was used to paying for Clinique, which was double the price. When looking at comparison websites, superdrug was the cheapest at £5.90, which is much cheaper that other places.
However, I was very excited to look on the Tesco website. It is currently half price, so until 6/2/07, it is £4.24. I will be going there. Other Garnier skincare products are also half price so stock up if you use it.
I will continue to use this cream (I need to buy some more now) and Garnier has impressed me, so I will try more of their skincare products.

Advantages: none, cheap, lasts ages- and ive seen results on lines and dark circles in 5 days! Disadvantages: the tube- when it lies on its side the stuff all goes to the end!
...Incidentally, i've used the garnier pure A range before and noticed some difference there, so i'm a big garnier fan.
I've got very pale skin, which means that every single mark on my skin shows up- the worst of this is my dark circles- i look like alice cooper some days. And i've had faint creases around my eyes, which i've noticed (damn you 25!) have got a bit more pronounced, and if my mascara smudges, it sits in them- i'm sure you've all experienced ... ...eye cream- and its really good- a lot better than my old eye cream- destressant yeux by roc- and i paid only £5 for it vs the £20 i paid for roc. although my roc eye cream is formulated for dark circles- i find this much better and more easily absorbed. So all in all, i'd give this 5 stars, easily available, cheap as chips, and it seems to be working. what more can you ask for? I've been using this for about 5 days now, and i have noticed a difference ...

Quick review of Garnier Ultra Lift Eye Cream
As someone who has been complimented on haveing good skin looking younger than my age - i was horrified and deeply distressed when a few days after using this eye cream - i have had a very severe reaction to it with now nearly two weeks later still unable to use any of my usual products and my eye area still looking red and sore and 'burnt' - i have referred it back to Garnier and awaiting their response. As someone too with sensitive skin always been wary of using new products but had prev used Garnier products on face and neck area with no problem. ...

Quick review of Garnier Ultra Lift Eye Cream
Reviews highly praised this Garnier eye cream, part of the 'Skin Naturals' range, so I thought I would give it a try after spotting it on special offer - £4.80 - in Sainsburys. It claims to 'visibly uncrease the eye contour'. I've used it twice a day for three weeks and although it absorbs well and has made the skin around my eyes slightly softer, it hasn't reduced the fine lines. When I have finished the 15ml tube, in around one weeks time, I think it would be best to save my pennies and stick to sunglasses and factor 25 instead! ...

Advantages: It reduces the appearance of lines Disadvantages: It didn't turn me into Jennifer Aniston :-(
and say it scared me a little. However I realised that the primary factor was cash! I didn't have bundles of it and actually didn't want to part with too much in case it didn't work!
There are numerous brands that claim to firm, reduce and keep wrinkles at bay. I realised that I had spent some time reading all the info on the back of the boxes and had spent nearly and hour at it and was still no further forward. You have the bigger and more expensive brands like Roc, Lancome and Clarins all coming in at around the £30 mark, too high for me so I concentrated on the cheaper brands hoping they would still be effective I eventually opted for the Garnier Ultralift firming eyecream that had £4 off making it only £6.49 for a 15ml tube.

Advantages: there are no advantages Disadvantages: you waste your money and get just another moisturiser in a tube.
Ok so Im pretty sure the reviewers at the top giving this product 5 stars are either 20 years old or sales people trying to flog this useless product. Ive used it for 6 weeks and it does absolutely nothing. I really think laws should start clamping down on these charlatans getting away with this anti ageing false advertising. But then if people are stupid and desperate enough to keep wasting money on this rubbish then we are asking for it. I recommend buying some sun cream and good sunglasses instead. Im sorry to break the news to you all but anti ageing elixirs dont come on a supermarket shelf if in fact they even exist at all. I suppose we can all live in hope. Then again how bout we all age disgracefully and give these rip off companies the finger LOL ...
