I know Christmas seems a long time ago, but this little lovely was included in a L' Occitane giftset purchased with Mr Fluffs Bank card by my good self. Thats the way I like my pressies..bought by me with other folks money..ensuring no crappy gifts. Due to the sheer amount of tioletries that lovely folk bought me as gifts..I have only just started to use this lovely cream.
If you are like me and run around at work all day, and come home and literally have to put your feet up. Then you will know that you need something soothing for your feet. Not to mention something to soften your hard, trudged upon callouses which have formed over the Winter on ever part of your foot that sticks out!

L'Occitane make their packaging look fab. As though you have bought it from an old Apothecary shoppe in a time warp back alley. L'Occitane ( pronounced Loxitan)..is a French company that has been going since the 1970's. They use only the finest essential oils and ingredients in their products. Some of which are organic.
The tube comes in A brown card box. On the front is 15% ina round square, as this foot cream is that percentage of Shea Butter. Also expect lots of French. This is a 75ml tube. So more of a travel size really.
On undoing the box you are presented with a Silver tube witha brown wrap around label. The lid is small and black and sometimes a little tricky to do and undo. So if you have problems with fine motor skills then you may need someone to help you out.
What does it smell like and that?
On squeezing the tube very lightly a thick cream is produced. Its bog standard white in colour, and has a very delicate smell of Lavender. Not terrible old ladies lavender..but the essential oil.
Slap it on your trotters..
I am advised to apply the cream in circular motions. Now that is easier said than done when you have our leg bent around your neck. So on squeezing out a very small amount I begin to rub it into my poor tired..very small feet.
The first thing I notice is that you really dont need a lot as it is so rich. It absorbs in straight away though..no having to wait for it to sink in. I find the best time to apply foot cream is after a bath or shower and then when you have just got into bed.
That means that you can really give your feet a real treat.
The next day..
My feet are actually slippery soft. I mean that I am skidding across the carpet on my way to the loo. My feet are just so soft and I cant stop rubbing them up my own shin. hmm..kinky. Also the sight of m dry skin is greatly improved. And the skin looks so even. Like normal skin you have anywhere else on your body.
What is in it to make it so special?
The main ingredient is Shea Butter. A natural beauty balm which acts as a fantastic emollient, penetrating the upper layers of your epidermis. It also contains Arnica, which is reputedly excellent for bruising and swelling. I must say I did notice my feet feeling cooler, and less hot as they do when you have been wearing stink trainers all day. There are also extracts of Sunflower, Lavender Oil and Rosemary. So it does make a rather high class treat.
Where can I get it?
Well mine came from a giftset from the wonderful QVC. They are worth a look, as L'Occitane produce many other products that you can dent your credit card with. Strawberrynet sell a 150ml tube for around £14. So you are probably just as well to do a Kelkoo search to find the best price.
And Finally..
Yes..you may be thinking that this is expensive. But I am on my feet all day. And just to give them something colling, and soothing and to prevent them looking like dinosaurs feet. Then I can well justify the cost. I have also tried many other cheaper versions, but none have come close to this ones potency. If I buy a cheaper one then I end up using more! So it really is a false economy. But ciaosters..its up to you to decide!!
Advantages: Just give your feet a treat Disadvantages: None
...females just lap it up.
L'Occitane is a relatively new company, well it was founded in the late 1970's so that's newish by my standards. Olivier Baussan founded the company and wanted to share his love of natural products, the sunshine, the nature that surrounds us and his love of Provence.
The Shea butter foot cream was on QVC and it was being sold at £25.75 for two 150ml tubes.
The tubes themselves are quite plain, just a silver coloured toothpaste ... ...and become sore Although the L'Occitane Shea Butter foot cream smells pleasant and applies easily it does seem to take time to start to work, I noticed little change to my skin until I had been using it for a couple of weeks, yet once the formula started to get a grip it was all uphill. The cream feels really cool and soft as it starts to sink into the warm skin, if you have very dry skin then you could always consider applying the cream and then ...

Advantages: Softens hard skin, smells wonderful, relaxing and cooling Disadvantages: Not cheap and not available locally
I dislike feet, probably because mine have a tendency to be smelly. I try to avoid them, but every now and then I inspect them for damage, and notice some hard skin. Our feet take a battering every day, and we often neglect them, when really we should be looking after them.

I was attracted to the L’Occitane brand by another opinion on Ciao and have since bought a few of their products, all of which have been excellent. Advantages: Really works well Disadvantages: It is expensive
I have been using L`occitane products for a while now, basically they are beauty products, they sell foot cream, shaving cream, bubble bath, soap and much much more, there stuff is really good. the one bad point though is that they are really expensive, (I get a discount as my sister in law is a mangeress in one off their stores.)
She tends to buy the family birthday or christmas presents from her store, recently she got me Shea butter foot cream ... ...I am not sure off the price as it was a gift.

My wife recommended this product with Shea Butter because of the constant dryness on the bottom of my right foot. Actually, I thought it was some type of condition that I had that would probably not go away. I tried all the normal lotions that my wife brought home but when I tried this for a couple of weeks it was great!
First, I would like to say that I am more of a jock and don't really use these type of products but believe me if your husband ... ...the product to use! Some of the information about this product is known as a moisturizer and emollient. It is also used for scars, eczema, burns, rashes, and of course severely dry skin. I would rub it in deeply every night and wear one sock and did this for two weeks. After the second week I could really tell the difference and I don't really need to put any type of lotion on the area anymore. I choose to use the regular lotion now and the dryness ...

Advantages: softening, soothing with gentle lavender scent Disadvantages: packaging looking a bit retro/dated
...were now ready for the L'Occitane foot cream treatment. A look at the ingredients - the key is shea butter. This is from the fruit of the karite tree in south africa I think and has amazing softening properties. The scent is from lavender essential oil from Provence in France. There's also arnica extract which is an anti-inflammatory which was ideal for my feet which needed some TLC.

companies such as the Body Shop have also struck up partnerships with African villages to harvest and use SheaButter in their products.
Other SheaButter products from l’Occitane include: footcream, shampoo, conditioner, bath and shower cream, soaps, body lotion and pure sheabutter (very expensive).
•• THE PRODUCT ••
L’Occitane Ultra Moisturising Night Care comes in an aluminium tube (like a toothpaste tube) containing 75ml of cream. This is inside a brown cardboard box with a mainly blue label, which can obviously be recycled. The smell of the sheabutter range is wonderful, but very difficult to describe. It is very rich, but not overpowering and a very clean smell – I love it. The cream contains 15% sheabutter and other moisturising agents: corn, almond and honey.
