HOW I DISCOVERED L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER LIQUID SOAP.
I was first introduced to L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap a few years ago. I used to be a hairdresser and one day a few years back my boss purchased and brought into our Salon this lovely bottle of L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap for the staff and customers to use in the washrooms. On first using it myself that day and on first trying it out, I really was pleasantly surprised with it's beautiful fragrance and the wonderful soft sensation it left on my hands. All the customers in our Salon where commenting highly on this liquid soap also and asking my boss where she had got it from and how much it had cost.

At first I thought this L'Occitane liquid soap was very expensive when I heard it cost around £13 and that was a few years ago, but I soon learnt that this was no ordinary liquid hand soap and that it contained no synthetic ingredients in it at all. This liquid soap is made from natural vegetable oils and is very kind to your skin. I noticed the softness straight away to my skin after I had used this for the first time and it really did not dry out my hands either but left them very soft, smooth and really noticeably clean.

I also suffered from dermatitis which was caused by the chemicals in the hair products I used at work and I found a lot of soaps really irritated my skin and made my dermatitis worse but this liquid soap actually helped improve the condition of my hands and it did not dry out my skin with the continuous washing of my hands that I had to do in my job. When my boss next purchased this Shea Butter Liquid Soap she had quite a few bottles of it to get including one for me, as everyone at work was highly impressed with it's fragrance, effectiveness and also because it contained natural ingredients and no chemicals that everyone was pleased about.

Well I have been using this product for a few years now and I order it occasionly online. It is slightly cheaper now than when I first started using it. It now also can be bought in handy little refill containers that are environmental friendly and all you need to do is to keep all your old bottles and refill them with this new product. The refills are also a lot cheaper and I spilt one between the two bottles I have in my downstairs washroom and my children's bathroom. I really am pleased I was introduced to the L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap because I really think it's an excellent hand wash that is gentle on my children's skin and certainly has improved the condition of my own.

BOTTLE AND DESIGN OF L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER LIQUID SOAP.
The Design of the bottle of L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap is actually quite nice. It comes in a handy 500ml sized plastic bottle that is quite slim, but solid and fits well at the side of my small wash basin in my bathroom. It is a handy, see through bottle which is great I find as you can keep an eye on how much soap there actually is left in it. It has a wax plastic round label right in the centre of the bottle which is a lavender colour and edged in yellow. The name L'Occitane, size of the bottle and other little details can be seen clearly on this label in the navy blue lettering they are written in. Etched in print into the bottom of the front side of this bottle and also on the sides is also the name L'Occitane and this stands out well. I am not sure if it is Braille though. Overall it really is a lovely designed bottle. It is very eye-catching and it looks very nice sitting at the side of my washbasin tempting my guests to try it out. It is also very sturdy and does not fall over when the soap is running low either that a lot of liquid soap bottles do.

PUMP DISPENSER.
The pump dispenser on this liquid soap is a navy blue colour. It really compliments the label on the bottle well and is very easy to use. It is made of plastic and has a nice spring action to it. I find that it pumps out just the right amount of liquid soap in one easy push of the button that allows enough soap out to generously wash your hands. It has a good pump action and my children can use it very easily also. Overall a good dispenser that never clogs up or leaks I find and to me, lets out the perfect amount of soap every time.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT SHEA BUTTER:
Shea butter has been used as a moisturiser for hundreds of years by many African women. It is claimed to moisturise deep into the skin and leave it in a very soft condition. It also is claimed to protect your skin overall and these results are really noticed by many women from first using it apparently. Well I certainly would agree.

FRAGRANCE OF L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER LIQUID SOAP.
On first ever using L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap I really was very pleased with the fragrance. I think this liquid soap comes in a few other fragrances like verbena and honeysuckle but I always buy the lavender one as I am quite a believer in now lavender calms and relaxes your body. I also love a lighter lavender scent and that is what this fragrance is. It is a lighter lavender fragrance but very noticeable. I really do love it's fragrance a lot. It really gives out a very fresh and calming effect that I personally find relaxing about lavender. It also lightens my mood and clears my senses leaving me feeling clean and revitalised ever time I use it. I really love this slightly unique lavender smell a lot.

The scent from this L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap is not like a lot of other lavender fragrances that can be overpowering, sweet and well 'false really'. It is a very fresh and light beautiful lavender fragrance. Overall it really is a very unique fragrance to this liquid soap that will have all your quests complimenting it highly, leaves a beautiful aroma in your bathroom and from your skin, for well over an hour.

EFFECTIVENESS OF L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER LIQUID SOAP
Well when using this liquid soap from day one I straight away noticed how caring this soap was to my hands. It is quite thin compared to other liquid soaps and is a lovely golden colour. On first using it I found it lathered up very well with water and really felt luxurious on my hands. You really can feel that this is not your average hand wash but a more expensive hand soap indeed. It also rinsed of my hands very easily and did not create huge amounts of suds. This clearly is when you feel the effectiveness of all the ingredients in this liquid soap. The Aloe Vera really does hydrate your skin well. It certainly made my dry skin soft and it stayed like this also. Aloe Vera is great for any dry skin condition and allergies by the way.

Well my hands really feel smooth, are so soft and really feel moisturised straight after using this hand soap. It really does not dry out my skin at all. I really remember being highly impressed with it the first time I used this soap all those years ago. This hand soap really cleans your hands very well and leaves them so noticeably clean. I really love the feeling of my skin after using shea butter liquid soap. It really must be tried to be believed. L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap is one of the best liquid hand soaps you will ever come across in my opinion. This soap not only clean your hands but it moisturises them, leaves them soft, really does not dry your skin out and will certainly have you never wanting to use any other liquid soap ever again. Honest! The effects are truly amazing.

To me L'Occitane liquid soap is more a 'magic moisturiser' than a liquid soap in my opinion but at the same time it cleans your skin. I find every single guest that comes to my home and uses the bathroom all comment highly on this liquid soap and they always ask me where they can buy it. My Mother now uses this shea butter liquid soap also as she suffered really bad with eczema on her hands and she says from she has been using this regularly that her skin really is so soft and has cleared up a lot. Overall the effects of this L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap truly are excellent!

I also find this Shea Butter liquid soap lasts very well. I find even with regular use from my family and guests that a bottle lasts in my home for a few months. It is very expensive though and I am glad I came across the little 400ml refills for the bottles when they run out as they can easily be used to fill up the old recyclable bottles. I actually spilt one refill between two bottles. These refills can be bought online also for nearly half the price of the liquid soap bottle so it is worth buying them when your bottle runs done. Also, they are eco friendly little pouches which is good.

OVERALL OPINION OF L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER LIQUID SOAP.
I am so glad My boss purchased this L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap for our Hair Salon and introduced me to this product a few years ago. I really would not use any other hand soap now in my bathroom. It really is so handy to use and my hands are in excellent condition and my dermatitis has cleared up from regularly using this soap during the day. I wash my hands quite a lot with having children and I regularly do gardening in the Summertime and using L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap not only cleans off the dirt well and very quickly but it leaves my hands in the best condition I have seen and felt them for years.

My husband uses this liquid hand soap nearly everyday also and he says his hard working rough hands are far softer now and I can actually feel they are compared to years ago when they certainly felt rough. This truly is an excellent hand soap that will moisturise your skin and leave your hands softer but the only complaint I would really have about it is the price. I buy it online and it's pretty expensive now at around £12 and I think a lot of people would not buy it because of this. The effects this soap has on your hands though is truly amazing and the way it leaves them noticeably clean is great.

I would certainly have to highly recommend this L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap though to everyone and to those who has some extra cash to try it out for themselves as you certainly will be impressed with it like I am. It really does moisturise your skin, clean you hands well and the fragrance is just beautiful. I would also highly recommend this to anyone with a dry skin condition as it certainly has improved my skin, my Mothers eczema and there is so many great write ups from others about this product also that maybe for the price, it is worth buying it!. Well done L'Occitane!

I would really love to give this product a full five stars but L'Occitane Shea Butter Liquid Soap really is very expensive so one star is deducted for this unfortunately.

***CAUTION.***
This product contains nut oil so anyone with nut allergies needs to be careful, although no one apparently has, had an allergic reaction to this product. It does have a warning with it so caution is noted by me.

QVC are doing a great deal on this liquid soap at the moment. You can purchase A 500ml bottle and two refills for under £26 including postage and packaging. It might sound expensive, but I really think this liquid soap goes a long way and I really would recommend trying it. This is a good deal by QVC.
