L'Occitane Vanilla Home Perfume

Advantages: Pure and natural products
Disadvantages: Can be a bit expensive

...and you will probably visulise fields of lavender growing in the sunshine but L’Occitane uses many other locally grown flowers and plants in the manufacture of their products. Their range of fragrances ( it’s not called “perfume” as I would imagine that conjures up an image of something too chemical) is extensive. If you are looking for a fragrance that is completely pure, that makes you smell good and doesn’t fade away 10 minutes after applying it then L’Occitane has a huge choice. There is everything from Hyssop to Amber, from Green Tea to Linden and from Rose to Olive. There are “Fresh” fragrances, “Fruity” fragrances and “Sweet” scents such as Vanilla. There is a L’Oranger range which includes Orange Blossom, Cinnamon & Orange and Clementine. And there is, of course, a Lavender fragrance. I was lucky enough to be given a bottle... Read review

Advantages: very moisturising

...The l'occitane range is pure indulgence. My favourite product being the shea butter sets they provide.Shea butter is a natural product and actually comes from a nut which derives in africa it is ground down to a fine pulp and then packaged foe l'occitane. I have been using this product for a few months now and find it relly softens my skin especially in the cold winter months,the shea butter is suitable for all over body use and you can even apply it to the hair if your hair is feeling dry or damaged it leaves the hair feeling very soft. The range may seem expensive but the products last a lot longer as you dont need half the amount of a cheaper brand. l'occitane also does a wide range of smells in there products mine being neroli rose and vanilla. If you feel like a treat try and use some l'occitane i promise its the best.... Read review

Advantages: Moisturises like no other product that I have come across
Disadvantages: Rather expensive and it isn't widely available

...I was first introduced to L'Occitane when I smelt one of their candles in the exhibition room of my jewellery teacher's designs. I had never smelt any other candle like it and so promptly went out to buy one of my own. I walked into that shop to purchase a single tin of that Melissa Pear candle and ended up coming out of the shop with it and half of the entire Shea Butter Range to the detriment of my poor wallet. Thankfully, on a trip to the South of France, Aix en Provence in particular, last June, I found L'Occitane there and my beloved Shea Butter. Actually, L'Occitane may have found me, as it's home is in fact Provence where I happened to spend most of that week.
