Great foundation
Advantages: Gives even skin tone and soft, smooth skin Disadvantages: Designed for older skin

I found this product in my local Superdrug priced at £12.99 for a 30ml jar. The jar is contained in a classy looking gold coloured box with a picture on the side showing the actual size of the jar (very helpful and much better than those products that give you a huge box with ... ...when I opened the box to take out the jar to find the jar was actually stuck inside the box - yes that's right it was fixed in there with the same sort of adhesive used to fix CDs to magazines. Presumably this is a sign of the times and I am guessing shops have suffered losses when jar have been taken out of boxes? However all I did was open up the box at the bottom and push the jar off the base so it wasn't too much of a problem.
I am continuing in my quest for eternal youth - yes I know I am doomed to failure but, if I can stave off the ravages of old age for a few years, I shall be content. The Promises *****************
This product, as the name suggests, is designed for use on 'mature skin' (to be more precise the packaging actually says 'mature to very mature skin'!). It claims to be re-hydrating, conceal age spots and that it doesn't accentuate deep wrinkles. It evens skin tone and gives a radiant finish and the coverage is specially adapted to hide imperfections and pigmentation marks without a mask effect. It has an SPF of 12 and contains 'vita-collagen' and a 'hydrating complex'.
Great promises indeed - the question is does it deliver?
Using the product **********************
As I opened the jar I found a little gold coloured inner plastic cover with a little spatula on the top. The instructions suggest that you take a little of the foundation out of the jar, put it on the back of you hand and then apply to your face with the tip of your fingers blending outwards from the centre.
Does it deliver? ***************** I have to be honest and say I spurned the spatula and put my finger tip straight into the jar - the foundation was light and creamy and spread easily over my face. I didn't need a lot to get good coverage and it gave a smooth matt finish.
It did hide imperfections in my skin (the ones in my personality will be somewhat harder to deal with!). I don't have especially 'deep wrinkles' but I do have a few 'laughter lines' and I must say it didn't 'gather' in those so it certainly didn't accentuate them.
It gave my skin a silky feel which was lovely and I certainly thought it had something of a moisturising effect. It felt light on my face and I didn't feel as if I was caked in make up.
My only difficulty with it is that I normally just use a tinted moisturiser on my skin for work and this certainly gave a more 'made up' look which I am not used to. I do like the product and will use it if I am going out in the evening and for special occasions. It does last well and whilst I wouldn't say it lasts for twelve hours it should do a good eight or nine without any difficulty.
Would I recommend this product? **************************************
Yes I would - if you are past the first flush of youth and want a light foundation that will cover skin imperfections and not slide into any wrinkles you may have developed. I do think it lives up to the manufacturers claims for my type of skin. As I have never smoked I don't have the deep wrinkles of many of my contemporaries but even for them I would guess this foundation would be an improvement on many others on the market. I tend not to suffer from allergies so I can't comment on what it would be like for sensitive skins.
It is never going to give me the skin of a teenager - but then again, thinking back, I seem to recall that had its fair share of problems anyway!
Advantages: good coverage, non irritating Disadvantages: affected in hot, humid conditions
I am 68yrs old. I grewup in north qld australia, but now live on the Sunshine Coast just north of Brisbane. My fair skin is very lined, especially around my mouth even though I have never smoked in my life. I have discolourations also. I tried age re-perfect re plumping foundation and I find it quite good. It's just that in our summers when it's so very hot and humid, I find that persperation still breaks out on my face and after a while the coverage ... ...all the foundations I have tried I think this one is the best. for coverage, (I still have the lines of course, but this foundation seems to give my skin and even colour.) I just wish there was a way to stop the foundation being affected by persperation. I use Revitalift day cream as a moisturiser first, to give a smoother finish. ...

Advantages: Light and easy to apply Disadvantages: maybe a different lighter weight container otherwise none
I'm on my second pot of this marvelous product! when I first bought it I was a sceptic, but that view soon changed as I saw the results. At 56 years of agemy skin has lived a lot! It has an uneven tone and tendency to sallowness. This product evened out the tones and somehow lifted the sallowness. Along with this my skin looked glowing- the best its looked for ages! I have a tendency to chloasma (brown freckles joining together), which makes sunny ...
