I am totally unaware of this plan when we set off for the pub. Six or seven drinks later she suggests a bet where if i lose i dye my hair purple or red. Im not drunk but not sober either and think yeah why not.
I lose the bet and we go to buy the colour pulse kit.
Ok the kits are in bright orange packets with a colour chart on the top showing the likely shades that your hair will go depending on the base colour, bare in mind that my flatmate has no idea that im a natural blonde, as the lack of sunlight has failed to lighten my hair past the lightbrown that itsbeen dyed despite a years regrowth. We pick up the funky purple take it home and get started. Wash hair, check, apply mousse, comb through and wait, after the 30 minutes recommended i jump back into the show and wash my hair again, out i come and dry it, ok no real difference visible when wet, dried wow, its definatley purple! The purple colour is quite vivid but not too much that it looks daft.
My hair felt softer than it normally does and was much shinier.
The colour lasted for the most part 6 washes and says on the pack it should last 6-8 washes so i felt this was reasonable, but i still have a few purple tinted strands around my face not quite sure why as there was no difference in the way my hair looked before i applied the dye but whatever it still looks ok. Since i used the dye ive been abroad and my hair is now a much lighter blonde shade, so im not sure id use the purple colour pluse again, it might be time for a new look!
I think it cost me about 2.49 from bodycare or 2.99 in superdrug.
The only problem i had was it says to keep under a shower until the water runs clear after you first apply it, i dont know what anyone else found but i was in the shower for almost an hour before it ran clear, but then the showers in my flat arent very powerful so maybe thats the problem. But i dont think it matters too much if it doesnt run totally clear as long as you blow dry youre hair so it doesnt stain clothes etc. And any mousse on my skin washed off pretty easily without dying myskin too much, which when ive tried other home dye kits hasnt been the case.
Advantages: Smells Wonderful, Easy to Use Disadvantages: Follow the Colour chart, or it wont work right.
Looking at the Loreal color chart for the Colour Pulse (http://www.colorpulseusa) my hair is Brown.
I recently saw an ad for this semi-permanent hair colour in a magazine, and I thought I would try it. Before I spent the money I read around at the reviews of the past persons that have tried this product... and all of them sounded like they didn't have much luck. Me being the hard headed persistant girl that I am, decided to do it anyway.
After ... ...brown, I proceeded to find the colours that would work on my hair. Almost every colour could work... but the one I wanted was the electric black and the chart said It was not recommended for my hair colour. I bought it anyway though because I wanted to try it.
I did also buy another one that was recommended for my hair colour (chilled plum) just in case the black didn't work.
As far as the packaging goes...
The packaging was very eye catching, ...

Advantages: great colours lasts quite a long time Disadvantages: none
During this summer hols i wanted to die my hair so I liked the look of these and my mates had tried them before so i got a red colour called Lively Aurburn. I think from Tesco's it was about £3.58 or something like that. It's really good for the price
Packaging: They come in a box wrapped in orange plastic with the colour on the front. Inside the box is a metal can with a nozzle (like some mousses) and a instruction sheet with gloves (thats good ... ...really clear. and at the bottom it had all the different colours they do and your natural hair colour so you could see how dark it was going to come out.
A day before you dye your hair dab a small amount behind your ear for a skin test and leave for 24 hours. If theres any sign of irration don't use.
The colouring was like a mousse not a liquid so it doesn't drip everywhere which is also very handy.
The variety of colours is really funky most ...

Advantages: Smell, easy to apply Disadvantages: Few results
I have dark blonde hair, and sometimes I fancy a change, & when I spotted an ad for this in a magazine, I was curious.
This is a temporary hair mousse, and in my general opinion, mousses usually work better than they should - like the time my hair went pink & stayed that way for ages!
It's said to last aprox 10 washes.
You can't miss the bright orange packaging, it stands out among so many of the other hair dyes on the shelf. It's also a foil ... ...I chose 'Iced coffee' as it was a darkish red colour for someone of my hair colour, according to the colour guide on the side of the packet and I didn't want something too bright.
The mousse itself is easy to apply, it works the same way as any other hair colourant, just apply it all over your hair, although the mousse means no mixing. What hit me most about this is the smell, it's nothing like the ammonia smell from most colourants, in fact this ...

Advantages: Easy to use, dosen't stain Disadvantages: The reds may cause probems
Few years ago I wanted to change my hair colour, so I bought and tried several Color Pulse colours to try them and then choose a permanent dye. I'm ash blonde; I tied the balck, and all went right. Brown, all right. Then I tried the red... Rouge Pulse it was. At first all seemed ok, but then it won't come off my hair! The only solution was to dye them black. They're great products, easy and funny to use, but from my experience (also other people ...

Advantages: smell, easy to apply Disadvantages: water never ever runs clear
Hello again.
Well I have darkish min length brown hair and I dye it quite often, so to have a change I thought I would use this new fangled hair dye called colour pulse, i used the cherry colour one, it cost me about £3.99 and somthimes that have offers on.
It’s pretty easy to apply cause its a mouse, so there I went, put the gloves on and began dying my locks. It didn't take to long to apply, about 15mins I think, and the development time is 30mins.
... ...and it says add a little water and rub in, I don't know what it does but I did it anyway, then it says rinse till the water runs clear, which it never ever flipping well does! so after about 15 mins of rinsing I give up and dried my hair, you could instantly tell the colour was different, but it only really affected the outside layers of my hair not underneath, and I know I put dye there, So in some places my hair was bright red, others cherry colour ...
