(+) Removes waterproof make - up, has a nice smell, efficient - will last for several months (-) Complicated to use, irritates eyes and blurrs vision, expensive
Advantages: Smells nice, nice easy to use bottle Disadvantages: Er it doesn't remove eye make and some people would see this as a disadvantage lol
Being a shopaholic and a make up wearer when I saw this on offer in my local Sainsbury's for £1.27, I was aware that the reduction was good so I had to buy it. Not that I needed it as I own loads of stuff already! However I do use a separate eye make up remover ever day as I feel I need to remove the ton of gunk I slap on my eyes carefully and properly.

The Packaging...
125ml plastic recyclable container which is see through and light blue and it has a white opaque flip top lid that covers a small inset hole. On the front in gold writing I'm told it's Loreal Dermo-Expertise then in black writing I'm told it's Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, Pro-Vitamin Formula. Then in dark red writing I'm told it's suitable for sensitive eyes and then again in black writing I'm told it's tested under ophthalmological control. On the back in white writing I'm told it's Loreal, Paris then told what it does, ingredients, the size (as I've stated already), the recycle symbol is on there as are contact details for Loreal and finally a bar code is there too. Ok packaging. I do like the shape of the bottle (as shown on the review photograph!
What It Does.... (should do according to the bottle!).
Loreal Derma- Expertise Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, enriched with Pro-Vitamin, gently and effectively, removes make-up.
It's refreshing and non-irritant formula is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Using It....
Well I always use it before moving on to using cleanser and toner. I have used this after wearing light eye make up and also like tonight when I've been out for drinks with friends and had the full Amy Winehouse look going on!
So what I consider to be light make up is what I use more in the day which would be eyeshadow and a coat of mascara. Night time for me is eye make up base, glittery eye-shadows such as Benefit or Urban Decay, (I'm talking the hard wearing stuff!), pencil eyeliner, glitter eyeliner over the top of that and coat upon coat of mascara! So I do need a really good eye make up remover as you can see.
On top of that it has to be sensitive because I do suffer with weepy eyes if I use the wrong stuff on them and if I don't remove my eye make up properly I get an eye infection and that's why I started to use it in the first place.
So to use this squirt or shake some of the liquid out of the bottle. It's completely clear and has the consistency of water and the only difference is, is that it smells other wise you wouldn't know by the look or the feel of it. The smell is light, crisp and smells refreshing. I cant tell you really what it smells of. Slightly floral and very pretty though not overpowering or anything.
There's no easy way of saying this but I agree with TB4NS (review under mine!). This is just rubbish!! Ok it removes light eye make up, just. Even with one coat of mascara though it struggles and you have to rub hard. Takes more than a wipe put it that way lol. I need more than usual of this product to work than anything else I've ever used in the past. I get through heaps of cotton wool because I use it and then go to wipe again and I get the make up Ive removed off my eyes already smearing back round them so you have to wipe, throw the cotton wool pad and go again. I find this a pain taking so much time but hey it works....eventually.
To remove 'going out' make up just forget it. Blimey! It did my head in and sent me crazy. Now I know I'm using industrial strength make up but this was mad. Not only did it feel like water it acted just like it. There is no greasy feeling to this and in my mind it needs a bit of that to lift the grime. No. Pad after pad I used making a mess as I went. It did remove most but only after I scrubbed my eyes raw. It couldn't pick up the glitter, hated my mascara and even left traces of an ordinary eyeliner behind.
Yes it felt cool and refreshing. Eyes were relieved to get rid of most of the make up but clean they simply weren't. My eyes felt a bit sore on the lids but did feel a bit moisturised but nothing to rave about and that must be the vitamins that this says it contains.
As I said earlier I do use a cleanser and toner and when I ran my usual cleanser over my eyes it lifted off heaps of glitter and everything with no problems and I was correct when i said this product was useless. If I'd of used only this on my eyes I'm sure the following day I would have had a dreaded eye infection. It just didn't do as promised and my eyes felt really grimy through not being clean.
Where it is good is that it says it's sensitive and it is. Apart from having to scrub a bit too hard this had no adverse effects on my eyeballs and my eyes weren't sad (only dirty) after using it.
Would I recommend this? Would I hell! Like Tb4MS said I will use it for removing more subtle eye make up but I shall always use something else as well cos I cant afford to get me eyes dirty and have a whole host of problems. The problem with this is that it's far too gentle!
Just to clarify that although I do use alot of eye make up I don't find it hard to remove normally even with just a cleanser and the only reason I like an eye make up remover as well is because I wanted to use something a bit more conditioning and refreshing and specifically for my eyes. I'll be sticking to my Nivea Eye Make Up Remover from now on though!
Usually about £2.67 and can be found in loads of places.

Advantages: Good for sensitive eyes. Disadvantages: Very bad at removing black liquid eyeliner!!
Having used up all of quite an effective eye make-up remover (No7 Dual Action) I quite literally sprinted to the very small Boots near my work last Friday, in the knowledge that I would require some effective black liquid eye liner remover for the early hours of the morning after a night out!
As already pointed out, this is a relatively small Boots and more often than not they don't always stock the goods or brands that you are specifically looking ... ...go to a larger store in a very busy, congested and altogether unappealing shopping centre, I had to make do with the goods on offer.
I'm not the type of female who likes to shop, in fact I would go so far as to say that I loathe it so it's a very quick whizz around the goods on offer and quite frankly more often than not a case of just picking up the nearest, available item if my preferred one isn't available, hence the purchase of this eye make-up ...

Since I tend to wear waterproof mascara a lot of the time, a good eye make up remover is essential so that I don't leave a trail of black marks on the towels and on my cheeks. This is one I have used on many occasions, and I find that it does work for me. THE PROMISE
It promises to be non irritating, and to be enriched with Pro vitamin, which will gently and effectively remove eye make up.Since it is marketed as a gentle eye make up remover, it ... ...PRODUCT AND PACKAGING
The eye make up remover comes in a plastic bottle with all of the information clearly written on the back of the bottle; interestingly enough, there are no instructions for using the product so they must expect me to use my common sense! The eye make up remover itself looks blue when I look through the clear plastic of the container, but my common sense whioch will help me use it tells me that it will not go blue on my eyes! ...

Advantages: Contact lens wearers can also use. Disadvantages: None
I have tested lots of different eye make-up removers before i started to use l'oreal.
most of the eye make-up removers i have used before often sting, leave alot of your make-up on or leave eyes irritated through-out the day, but not this one.
This is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
This is very soothing once applied.
I have found it very hard in the past to remove my dark eyeshadows and thick mascara and even my false eyelash ... ...use.
I just apply a small amount on to a cotton wool pad and wipe from centre outwards and within a couple of goes the eyeshadow and most of my mascara has been removed. This is a pro-vitamin formula with a lovely sweet smell. It can be used everyday! i have found this is one of the best eye make-up removers i have used for along time and will carry on using it. I promise it is worth a go if you find it hard to remove your makeup from your eyes ...

mornings and need a product that dries fast and effectively. Again, this mascara is brilliant. I find I can blink my eyes very soon after application, without any tell-tale black/brown dots appearing over the tops of my cheeks or eyelids! It lasts very well over the day and does not smudge or smear as the day wears on, and although it does not claim to be smudge-proof ? it actually should, because all the times I?ve used it, it hasn?t once smudged! It isn?t waterproof, but as I stated earlier, there are waterproof varieties in the same colours out there ? it?s just that I always find waterproof mascara very difficult to remove.
Removing the mascara is also a doddle. I never use any special eyemake upremover, creams or lotions (although maybe I should). The packaging states that it?s recommended that you use L?OrealDermoExpertise ...
