Us humans are the same as nature, the way we grow into adulthood, mature and reproduce, although us humans are always worrying about the way we look and our appearance, hence the reason for good old L’Oreal making these hair colour products.
It all started about 6 weeks ago for me when me and Emily went out on the booze into town. We went back to my flat and there we had a good time, we had music, a bed and more drink.
However there was thing that she had that I didn’t, hair colour. When I woke up the next morning I woke up to her smile, laughing and smirking, what's wrong I asked, she just told me to look in the mirror. So to the mirror I go to find she’s put blonde highlights in my lovely dark brown hair.
Now being in the army, I know that this style wouldn’t exactly be acceptable, so I took myself to the hairdressers to get it sorted out and made better.
Remember, we were both drunk when this happened so neither of us were really able to do our best.
Although I had got use to it,
blonde streaks just didn’t look right, it really wasn’t me. That’s when she had this terrific idea of getting it right.
Why not dye your hair permanent black she said. I didn’t know what to say really, but saying that, I wandered whether it’d suite me as a stylish man I try so hard to be.
So off to Superdrug we go, it’s my time off at the moment so I just had to do this now. I wanted a good quality product for this job and decided to look more for the L’Oreal hair colours.
First of all I had to buy a little wash in- wash out dye, a red one to sort out the blonde streaks or my hair would go green, remember that people, anyone who has light coloured hair, buy a little wash in- wash out red dye before dying it the colour you want. They cost about 99p so it isn't heavy brass for you to give away.
Looking along the shelves, I saw L’Oreal’s new Feria Color 3D. By the way, this is the new Feria Color one, the 3D one. It costs £5.29 which was the most expensive, but the biggest with the best name in the industry.
So I took it back to Emily’s where she took on the role as my own professional hair stylist but with out the professional part. We opened the box to find that inside was a whole Christmas tree off presents inside, enough for a family.
Contents: ^^^^^^^^^ >Rubber Gloves- Rubber gloves that are more easy to use and of a higher quality than the plastic gloves.
>Hair Colour- A little funny shaped bottle which has to be screwed onto the applicator bottle.
>Applicator Bottle- This is what you use to put the dye on the hair, well designed and very well made.
>Nutri-Protective Conditioner- This is what you use after the dye has been added to the hair, you also use this to wash your hair with.
>Instructions- What you need to read to do the job PROPERLY! -----------------------------------------------------
Directions: ^^^^^^^^^^^ 1) Screw the Colorant gel to the bottom of the applicator bottle, when this is done right you’ll hear a click.
2) When the 2 bottles are put tightly together then shake madly to ensure even mixture.
3) Wet your hair without shampooing. Add the mixture to your roots first by squeezing the bottle gently, then add slowly and evenly to the rest of your hair.
4) Massage slowly into hair, being sure to use all the mixture.
5) Once this is done leave for 30minutes to dry before adding a little warm water to your hair and working into a rich foaming lather.
6) Then rinse out the dye carefully until it runs clear then add a small amount of the Nutri-Protective Conditioner to your hair and leave for 2 minutes before then rinsing that clear.
That’s the directions for first time dyer’s, like me. If your re-dying your hair because your natural roots are growing through then follow the last 2 steps after doing this-
- Firstly using about 1/3 of the bottle adding only to the roots carefully. Wait 20 minutes then add the last of the bottle to the rest of your hair and wait a further 10 minutes. If you do it this way then follow steps 4 & 5 the same but without waiting the 30 minutes.
Now I’ve done this, tonight as I’m writing this I’m looking in the mirror and thinking for once in my life I haven’t made a mistake, I mean, this looks great.
It is exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier. The actual one I used was the ‘Starry Night -21’. Ok, so it’s made for women, but as I’ve proved, men can use it too, although I’m sure many already have.
As with most hair colour products, getting the dye off or out of anything is still as hard as ever so be careful where you choose to do this. Me and Emily did this in the bath, yes, with nothing on, it’s the best way of getting the job done right without any messy accidents. But yeah, be careful with this.
£5.29 might seem like much, but I am happy paying that because I got high quality gloves to use, as well as a special conditioner and easy to apply applicator bottle. I’m also happy because I really honestly feel that no other rival product could have done such a good job with my messed up hair.
I haven’t used any shampoo yet and won’t till the morning, it advises you not to use it till the next morning, so fools out there- “Don’t !!!”.
I have quite fine hair and this has helped to blend it together making it look a whole lot more thicker which is great. It’s great for lengths and kinds of hair, no matter what.
I’m now left with silky feeling hair, shiny hair and a colour that looks shimmering, full of life. Thanks to the added Conditioner included, the whole 1hr long process makes it all worth it and leaves you with the best results whatever the person, colour or hair!
I strongly recommend all women and men to go out get this L’Oreal product when going to either touch up their roots or give their hair a whole new completely different look!
All the best! Thanks for reading.

This the only dye that has worked for me, great op sam :)
Advantages: Affordable DIY-kit that delivers a brown which really shows up on naturally dark hair, available in a wide range of colours from blondes/browns/reds to purples Disadvantages: Formula is quite strong - contains some bleach, ammonia smell is strong, not suitable for already dry, weakened hair, quite runny hence can be messy
