Advantages: good colour/ no rubbing off on clothes etc. Disadvantages: may be streaks and sometimes messy
I had always usually relied on the sun for a tan but had always worried about the effect of it on my skin. I had always disregarded fake tan because i though it didn't work and was expensive but then i saw L'Oreal sublime bronze on the shelves and at a price of 9.99 it was incredably cheap! i applied it as soon as i got home. The directions were simple and easy to use resulting in the gel going on smoothly and more or less evenly. The fake tan hardly rubbed off on my sheets, clothes or in the shower. The appearance was slighlty streaky so i recommend that if you're going to use this product that you purchase additional tan corrector wipes for just 50p each from boots. The product claims to be fragrance free but the smell was quite distinctive and lingered on my hands for about a week. I also suggest that you lay a towel on the floor ...
Advantages: Nice sparkly lip gloss Disadvantages: Limited colours available
I never used to like lip gloss, I was a complete lip gloss hate, I didn't like the way it felt sticky and my lips stuck together when I had it on. These days though I can't get enough of it. I don't know if this is because cosmetic companies have realised that people don't like that feeling of their lips sticking together like tacky glue and they seem to have changed their formulations.
Glam shine comes in 10 different colours, ranging from clear to much darker colours with names such as Silver Crystal, Volcano Chrome, Sand Crystal and Clear Crystal. All of them have a certain amount of sparkle to them so if you are looking for plain gloss these aren't for you.
I was starting to get a bit fed up of the heavy look that lipstick can give and wanted something a bit lighter. I ended up getting L'OrealGlam Shine in Sand Crystal a quite ...
Advantages: Light, Quick & Easy application Disadvantages: None I have found
FABULOUS STUFF - Had seen the Guthy Renker infomercials re Sheer Cover and the barescencials QVC range so knew mineral powder was the way to go. When I saw this product immediately bought it. 49 yr old oilyish skin which hates the feeling of powder or foundation but really needs something. Bought the N3 which is a great match for my complexion and so quick and simple to use. Admittedly knew the best ways to use it as had got the gist from the tv ads and I do not use the brush it comes with but a retractable powder brush which I can load up for use during the day (which I rarely need). Do not use it on a freshly moisturised face as it will stick to the skin. Let moisturiser sink in (which is what you should do anyway) and simply pop your brush into the pot, tap the bottom on the brush on a table or the bathroom window cill and buff ...
Formulations for all skin types (cream, gel and lotion), smoother skin that feels toned after a couple of applications, matching serum top-up for extra dry skin, one jar lasts for ages and smells fresh, clean and gorgeous.
Prohibitively expensive for a straight-up, non anti-ageing facial moisturiser. Lightly perfumed and non-hypoallergenic - unsuitable for sensitive skin. (*)
