I never used to like lip gloss, I was a complete lip gloss hate, I didn't like the way it felt sticky and my lips stuck together when I had it on. These days though I can't get enough of it. I don't know if this is because cosmetic companies have realised that people don't like that feeling of their lips sticking together like tacky glue and they seem to have changed their formulations.
Glam shine comes in 10 different colours, ranging from clear to much darker colours with names such as Silver Crystal, Volcano Chrome, Sand Crystal and Clear Crystal. All of them have a certain amount of sparkle to them so if you are looking for plain gloss these aren't for you.
I was starting to get a bit fed up of the heavy look that lipstick can give and wanted something a bit lighter. I ended up getting L'Oreal Glam Shine in Sand Crystal a quite neutral pinky beige colour with added sparkle. The colour actually really suited me, and I was really pleased with it.
The product comes in a clear plastic container which is a tapered shape, wider at the bottom than at the top with a crew on top with an applicator joined into it. The applicator has a sponge tip on the end which is slightly tilted, I'm not sure if this makes any difference to the application of the product as I can't say I find this any easier to apply than any of my other glosses.
The one thing I was impressed with was the length of time this lasts, I found that after application it would stay on for a good length of time although it did leave quite a nasty residue on cups etc after drinking. It does have quite a strong smell to it, personally I didn't mind it but if you don't like scented products this wouldn't be good for you. Even though it did have quite a strong smell there was no taste to the product so that was good.
I found that you don't need to apply much to get a good level of colour, I really liked the way that it shimmered and sparkled and the shade I purchased looks particularly good with a tan, just a slick of this a bit of mascara and some bronzer and you can achieve a nice natural look for the summer.
Priced at £6.99 for 6ml from Boots you can pick these up in other stores such as Superdrug, Savers, Tesco and Asda you can also pick these up quite cheaply on the internet. I have seen them for sale on Ebay as low as £4 so it is definitely worth shopping about a bit. They last a long time because you only need to use a small amount of product to get a good colour.
If you like a nice sparkly gloss that is long lasting and looks good then this is well worth giving a try.
