I am a fan of L`Oreal make up, admittedly you may have to pay a little extra for it but on the whole it is well worth the initial outlay. That is not to say that I don't buy other brands because I do but I always keep a weather eye out for any L`Oreal bargains or money saving coupons.
Clinique is among my favourites but I have to rely on birthdays and Christmas for any Clinique products to come my way.

The L`Oreal Infallible concealer is a fairly recent addition to my make up collection, I have developed two small patches of discoloured skin just above my top lip, I have had them checked out and the Practise Nurse felt that they were perfectly harmless and more than likely due to hormonal changes. The two patches are no bigger than the size of a pea and to anyone else they may not be noticeable but to me they stick out like a sore thumb and I am highly concious that they show beneath my foundation cream.

Skin concealer is a strange medium, I feel that you have to get the colour to match your skin tone as near as you possibly can. You also have to make sure that the concealer isn't going to sit on top of your skin like the old fashioned Pan stick or it will show from a mile away. Plus it has to be enriched with moisturiser so that it won't get trapped in any loose skin flakes that you may have if you suffer from dry skin like me.

When in doubt the best thing that you can do is to seek advice and our local pharmacy has trained staff that are able to offer helpful advice on any problems that you may have.
When the assistant recommended a skin concealer I was slightly dubious, the menopause has changed my skin dramatically. The natural oils seemed to vanish and my once good thick and fairly creamy skin seemed to take on a papery appearance.
But she was quick to assure me that I wasn't the only post menopausal woman to suffer from skin changes and to inherit some unwanted blemishes.

L`Oreal have made the effort to make this skin product look attractive, at a quick glance you would think that it was a lipstick. The slimline twist up tube has an attractive ruby red base and the plastic top is see through which allows you to see the shade.
There are four shades to choose from, Vanilla, Golden Beige, Radiant sand and Honey and the small but long lasting tube will cost you somewhere in the region of £5.

Though the Vanilla shade seemed to be very pale it did seem to be the most sensible choice for me, the other three colours in the range were stronger and would be more suited to younger or tanned skin.
The Infallible concealer is enriched with Vitamin E and Jojoba oil and L`Oreal say that once the concealer is applied it should stay put for the rest of the day, resisting the intervention of perspiration and natural skin oils.

I have to use a good moisturiser, so I apply my moisturiser to my freshly washed skin and then I apply the concealer to my skin blemishes. The Vanilla shade is light enough not to show yet just strong enough to conceal those skin blotches.
Don't think that you need to layer it on because you only need to use a spot, this is one of those types of make up where less is best. Once my spot of concealer has been applied I then use the tip of my finger just to blend it in slightly. You can't rub it in, it just needs to sit on the skins surface yet you don't want it to show too much.
Give yourself a couple of practise runs and you will get it off pat, the product design makes it easier to apply.
Then finally I use my normal light layer of skin foundation, the L`Oreal concealer stays firmly in place under that foundation cream which leads to a natural appearance.

My skin blemishes are tucked away under the foundation cream and would only be noticeable if you looked really closely.
The light layer of foundation cream seems to seal the concealer and mine stays put all day without any problem.

From my point of view the Infallible concealer is a great product but if you have fines lines under you eyes then don't try to use it to hide away those dark shadows, it just cannot cope. I once made the huge mistake of trying to cover the evidence of a couple of late nights and the concealer just highlighted all of the fine lines underneath my eyes and it looked awful !
But I would well imagine that if you are young and don't have a million and one fine lines that it would work well.
A tube lasts ages, I have been using mine every day for a few weeks now and to be honest it looks like I have hardly started to use it.

Advantages: cheap, stays on
Disadvantages: NONE

It looks good in the shops but does it really work? YES YES YES! As a 19 year old with skin that isnt too good I usually need to wear concealer on a daily basis. Being a student prevents me from being able to buy good expensive makeup products therefore I found this! At £4.99 you cant go wrong! I decided to chose this product after running out of a previous make. I wanted a good concealer that wasnt too expensive and that would last a long time. ...
...the others and was set at a decent price. Once I got it home i tryed it straight away and was very happy with the results. It even covered my freckles which I was happy about:). Unlike other makes this concealer wasnt a mousse or liquid, but went on like a pastle. Not much is needed and it blends very well with my foundation. Id recommend this product for anyone! ... Review of L'Oreal Infallible Concealer by Jazmin864

This concealer wasnt the best to be honest. It felt thick when applied and snapped.. therefore making it hard to use.. It still showed some of my imperfections after i applied it. Didnt last long at all.. Waste of money in my opinion.
