What will it take to find a good foundation eh? well I think I may have found it! for me I was looking for a long lasting foundation that didn't look too greasy and most of all would cover any blemishes. I alway's try to look for a colour to match my skin-tone how difficult is that eh?
So, L'Oreal Infallible Foundation. I usually buy either a cheapy foundation like Collection 2000 range if I'm skint or I have tried the Bodyshop range of Foundation but this doesn't seem to last that long. I had been recommended this product by a relative, and they said it stay's put! but is pricey. I have heard good things about the L'Oreal brand as being professional and good quality, but top end of the price range.
I went off to my local Boots store, sometimes this product is on offer, but I paid £10.99 for it and got Boots Card points too! (woo hoo-bonus). I was really treating myself with this product as I would not normally spend this much on foundation.
Packaging: The bottle is 30ml, which you can keep for 12 months before throwing away (yeah right like I'd do that!). The bottle is quite heavy, made of glass. The cap is easy to take off and the pump is easy to use to produce the foundation. It doesn't look like the product will last that long, but believe me a little goes a long way, I would start off with a very small blob and see how it goes-it's better to not waste any product as it's like gold-dust! The product lasts me a good 6 x months if not longer, and I did find that getting the last bits out was tricky with the pump. The bottle say's: 'Long lasting perfecting foundation-16hrs, fights the signs of make-up meltdown'. It also promises to be anti-transfer and with anti-mask effect. Sounds good! I chose the colour: beige rose for my skin tone which is light to olive colouring. The L'Oreal range has a diversity of colours from very light to more orangey. This one is not too orangey and not too pale. I like something with a bit of colour to it.
Usage: I applied he product after using a moisturiser on my face, and leaving for about 20 mins as a base. I pumped out a small blob of foundation onto the back of my hand and applied it in upward movements onto my cheeks, forehead and chin. The foundation is quite light but thick enough to cover blemishes. I have a problem with spots on my chin, and if you do too then you'll know how tricky it can be to cover them! this product does really cover blemishes. Just a light tap onto the spot covers it without looking awful! A little goes a long way too so it's better to start out with a small amount and add as needed. I'd say this product lasts about 8 x hours for me before I needed to touch-up. I noticed that it doesn't rub off easily too. When wiping off, I use a cream cleanser, it's not hard to get off so that is a good thing.
Conclusion: Well, I think I have found my foundation with this one. Although pricey, it ticks all the boxes for me and as a treat I would recommend this product if you need good coverage and long lasting. This one lasts a long time too so will be worth the money. I just don't like the packaging a great deal, the bottle is quite heavy and the pump seems to leave a bit left in the bottom when near the end of the product. Overall this product is good.

Advantages: Lasts months, great match for skintone, people can't tell you're wearing it Disadvantages: Some people may think £10 is too much to spend, but it is worth it

Advantages: Evens skin tone, looks quite natural, a little goes a long way Disadvantages: Caused me to break out, encouraged oilyness, didn't stay on amazingly long
