Well not in our house...
I always end up with the kids in bath with me, because Amanda and I struggle to wash their hair in any other way! I literally have to restrain them while she pours water over their poor little heads and then washes their hair!
The shampoo we just bought for the children is L’Oreal Kids 2-in-1, 250ml, the bottle is brightly coloured ... ...and simple. The shampoo itself smells lovely, on the bottle is reads ‘burst of tropical fruit’ and it really does smell good enough to eat! The shampoo we just bought for the children is L’Oreal Kids 2-in-1, 250ml, the bottle is brightly coloured orange with a green lid, and the design is fun and simple. The shampoo itself smells lovely, on the bottle is reads ‘burst of tropical fruit’ and it really does smell good enough to eat! L’Oreal are a big well-established company and there ad campaigning has been fronted by a great many big names Jennifer Aniston, David Ginola, Sarah Michelle Gellar. Do you recognise the phrase ‘Because I’m worth it’? - Well that’s L’Oreal.
It also says on the bottle ‘No Tears! No Knots!’ that’s the thing that sold it to me ‘if this shampoo says it can shut the kids up at bath time, there’s no way I’m leaving it on the shelf’ I thought, so that’s why I bought it. Our kids hate bath time and I can’t wait for them to shut-up as soon as I put this shampoo on their heads! And that’s a big promise to make I’m afraid – especially when your kids just hate baths, here I was thinking I had some magic potion that was going to give me a couple of little water babies instantly and really it’s just shampoo!
You use it in the regular fashion – wet hair, apply a ‘burst’ of shampoo, lather and rinse.
I’m sorry but apart from the fruity taste, not chemical and over-perfumed like a lot of regular shampoos, and behind all that coloured plastic, it is still just a shampoo!
I think it’s a sweet idea to have a kid’s shampoo, but it really is just another moneymaking gimmick!
And what confused me even more was that if it really is ‘Tear free’ then why does it state ‘In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately’.
To be fair though it does appear to have cost them more money to make this shampoo, because they’ve had to employ an ‘ophthalmologist’ to test it out. Before they invented ‘kids’ shampoo they weren’t that bothered about our eyes! So, in conclusion, I think it’s a nice idea, but a novelty really, I think regular shampoo is just as good…'It's just not worth it!'. Now, if you ever do hear about the stuff that when it says ‘No Tears’ means NO tears, let me know….
Advantages: Fast dry, no tears, no tangles formula Disadvantages: a bit pricey but not that bad
Hair care for me should be as non-intrusive as possible. To quote a famous brand I like to be able to wash and go! Alas, I wasn’t given the raw materials to work with and my hair will always despise conditioners and need the styling and attention that I am loathe to give.
The L’Oreal for Kids range of shampoos simply screamed at me from across the supermarket aisles. I was initially attracted by the brightly coloured, slightly odd shaped bottles ... ...dry”. This was too much. The girl has to have some. And so that, your honour, is how this childless 29 year-old came to have in her possession a bottle of children’s shampoo (complete with free gift).
» What to look for
I’m not into describing packaging in a big way save where it is relevant. Here it is. The six varieties of shampoo in this range come in brightly coloured, wonky-oval shaped containers, each with a flip top lid. What makes these ...

Does anyone else out there dread washing your young children’s hair. The tantrums can be pretty out of this world, moaning that waters got in their eyes and now the shampoo is making them sting and so on. Well worry no longer I am writing this opinion about a lovely smelling shampoo I have come across that could make bathtimes more fun and I have also added a few of my bathroom super hints as an added extra for you all. ** The Product:- Loreal ... ...around the supermarket recently I decided to put a lot of thought into buying a shampoo for the children, I wanted a no tears, nice smell and an interesting container for them to fight over. I think I found it in the way of Loreal Kids 2-1 shampoo. There were a few varieties to choose from and the one that got my final vote was the Banana and Melon flavour. The bottle states that it’s so gently that its tear free and has been tested under ophthalmologist ...

Advantages: Hair is much easier to comb after washing Disadvantages: Too many lovely smells to choose from
...reason I started to use L'Oreal shampoo for my daughter was that I was getting fed with not being able to get a comb through it after washing. So off I went to the chemist and had a look at the kids shampoos. The L'Oreal one stood out from the crowd with it's fantastic range of smells and the fact that it is 2-in-1 so it has conditioner in it to help with the combing through. I decided to go for the "Burst of Watermelon" which is for "thick, curly ... ...an avid purchaser of the L'Oreal kids shampoo and recently, after reading another opinion on them, have bought the "Burst of Strawberry" which is for "extra softness". Well I made a small mistake there. My daughter now constantly wants strawberry and while I have still got half a bottle of watermelon this is a bit of a pain!!I do have to admit though that the strawberry is a wonderful smell! I'm not sure that her hair is any softer but again it is ...

...choice of childrens shampoos, mainly L'oreal Kids and Asda's own make. All the bottles are extemely bright and colourful and therefore very eyecatching! Oakley was in his element. Being a self confessed brand snob, my immediate choice was L'oreal. I've had poor results from shop brands before. The store we were in stocked: Yellow bottle - mango tango, Blue - Sunny Orange swim protector,
Yellow -burst of cool melon, fast drying
Pink - very berry ... ...have since found out that L'oreal also make a red - very cherry and yellow - burst of pineapple.
Guess which one my son chose? Yes, the pink, even with his dad pleeding 'but the yellow smells lovely, go on have a sniff, please, I'll buy you some sweets!' Just one of my evil eye stares shut him up and we left with the very berry shampoo.
The bottle holds 250ml and cost us £1.74. I didn't think this was too bad, it may save us money in the long run ...

L'OREALKIDS SWIM & SPORT SUNNY ORANGE SHAMPOO.
This is a marvellous shampoo with its funky style bottle and so trendy with bright orange top and the remainder blue with a touch of green, so smart and eye-catching. It certainly has the appeal to any youngster. The bottle is also easy to hold and soft and so ideal even for small hands. I remember that I used to use this product for my own children and I recall then that I was very satisfied then and I am sure that they would have improved the shampoo since then and increased the range of shampoos and fragrances.
To use just apply a small amount to ones hand and work up a lather it is so gentle to feel and smells so clean and fresh and yes one can smell a touch of oranges too. This is so ideal for kids which are on the go they will find it is so gentle and leaves the hair smelling ...

L'orealkids extra gentle very berry strawberry shampoo
I tend to like the L'oreal products and because we are using the conditioner, it made sense to use the matching shampoo to smell very very berry
This one promises to be a 2 in 1 extra gentle shampoo so there are no knots and therefore no tears. However, it doesn't tell me what the 2 in 1 is; I would assume that it is shampoo and conditioner but on the back it suggests that it is good to use alone or with the conditioner (surely I'm not doing double the conditioning). The promise that it will leave hair smooth soft clean extra shiny and manageable is a good one, and one which it will probably deliver.

Advantages: gorgeous smell that leaves your hair soft Disadvantages: More expensive than other Asda shampoos
I think I'm addicted to Ciao. I was having a relaxing bath earlier and I usually nick my daughter's 'L'orealkids' shampoo to wash my hair with because it makes my hair smell like a bowl of exotic fruit. Instead, my honest to god thought was 'I won't use that one, they haven't got a category for it on Ciao, I'd better use the Asda one'. I should start up a support group called 'life entirely ruled by a web site anonymous'.
Anyways, this particular brand is called 'Purify' and costs £1.69 for a 250ml bottle. It's a whole quid dearer than Asda's cheapest shampoo, and 70p more than their mid price bottles. The latter lathers up too easily so has too much detergent in it and leaves my hair feeling brittle and haystack like.
So I dug deeper into my back pocket full of loose change (And slapped it like all us Asda shoppers do ...
