I was shopping on our local Tesco’s the other day, and I happened to notice the new L’Oreal kids shampoo ‘So Strawberry shampoo’ which was on display –The nice bright pink bottle caught my eye, so I immediately went over! (I love pink!) It’s a lovely strawberry ice cream coloured bottle, which is apparently, supposed to be designed to look like a fish! Trust me, if you’ve seen the bottle, you will know what I mean when I say, what kind of freaky fish swim
past the L’Oreal factory? Lol! As it looks nothing like a fish, more like a pink bottle with an eye drawn on it. Anyhoo. I had to have a quick sniff of it before buying, and oh wow! It smell’s just gorgeous – like the nicest strawberry milkshake in the world! If I didn’t know any better, I’d drink it – which made me thin I’d better keep it out of Rebecca’s reach smelling like that! It was only £1.47 for 250ml, and you got a free Little Miss Sunshine book! Cool!
Well, the very same night, I washed both Rebecca’s, and my own hair in this, with varying results. Rebecca was first – she immediately took a shine to the bright pink bottle, just as I thought she would, luckily, she couldn’t open it though. I didn’t need to use too much on Rebecca, as it’s pretty potent, even though I used it sparingly, there was a good lather! It rinsed well, and left Rebecca smelling gorgeous :-) after towel drying her hair, it was shiny, soft and manageable. Rebecca has curls, which were tidy, and not frizzy or unruly. She still smelt of strawberries the next day too! It’s lovely to use, smells yummy, won’t sting eyes, and won’t tangle hair. I was looking forwards to using it after the results Rebecca had. I’ve used this range before, I really like the ‘Burst of Watermelon’ L’Oreal kids shampoo, and always had great results with it. As with Rebecca, I didn’t use too much, and there was lots of lather, it rinsed well, so I went to dry my hair, this is when it went bad, my hair was soft, shiny, and it smelled lovely, only thing is my hair was a tad bit harder to brush, I do have thick hair, but I don’t usually have a problem brushing it, I guess there isn’t really enough conditioner in it for me, I was really gutted as I loved the smell, and I so wanted it to work for me, but in the future, I’ll be just buying it for Rebecca. No worries though, as it still is the yummiest smelling shampoo ever, and it still has my thumbs up, after all it is for kids :-)
Only bad thing is, it might be a bit too yummy smelling, as some kiddies may try to swallow it. I did just this when I was a kid! I drunk a load of strawberry shampoo, I was okay, my mum told me I had a sore tummy, and was burping bubbles for ages lol! Here is a list of the other L’Oreal Kids products-
Shampoos- So Strawberry for dry hair (My favourite!) Splash of sunny orange swim shampoo Burst of Tropical Fruit for Normal Hair Burst of Banana-Melon for Fine Hair Burst of Watermelon for Thick, Curly or Wavy Hair (My 2nd favourite!) Burst of Cherry-Almond for Extra Conditioning
Conditioner- Burst of juicy grape (I love this one too!)
Others- They also do Burst of Raspberry styling gel, and Burst of sweet Pear Tangle Tamer, in a spray bottle.
Here’s what L’Oreal say. L’Oreal Kids is so gentle, it’s tear free! Tested under ophthalmologist control
L’Oreal Kids is so detangling! No knots can resist the 2-in-1formula of L’Oreal Kids. Its creamy formula helps condition dry hair and split ends leaving hair soft and manageable. L’Oreal Kids smells so good! With L’Oreal Kids special So Strawberry shampoo, extra softness formula, it’s nice to wash your hair.
L’Oreal Kids is safe to use! With it’s soft bottle, its east to hold. It’s fun to shampoo! Wet your hair; squeeze a burst into your palm. Apply shampoo, lather up. Rinse clean. Caution! Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of infants, unless supervised. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately.
