...a free sample of the L'Oreal website quite a while ago along with the NutriSummer body lotion, but I was apprehensive about putting this on my face because once it's on it won't wash off. I kept putting it off but I decided to give it a go the other week before school. The sample comes with three sachets for each day and there is 1.5ml in each, but it was way too much for me so I only ended up using about a quarter of it.
... ...I was quite shocked that L'Oreal had gave me a sachet for a day that could last me for a month, because somebody with a similar skin tone to me might follow the instructions properly and use the whole lot and they would almost certainly come out looking brighter than the sun! On the packet it says that it is for everyday use and it's for fair skin but I would say it's more for medium.

Nobody seemed to notice that I had it on and I could hardly tell myself, but I know that it builds up gradually so I just did the same the next day. Using a quarter of a single sachet may only seem like a miniscule amount but it really is a lot. The texture was very greasy when I had rubbed it in and it took a long time for it to finally sink in, and the smell lingered for ages which wasn't too good when it was right under my nose. It isn't a particularly bad smell but I would have much preferred it if it was odourless, especially when you're wearing perfume and it's drowning out the smell. Luckily I don't think other people could smell it - they'd have to be sniffing your face!
The next day I must have been asked at least five times if I was wearing makeup or if I had fake tan on so it must have been obvious. Once I'd applied it I didn't get a chance to see the effects because I had to go out, but the first time someone noticed I whipped out my mirror to take a look. On first impressions it looked very orange and darker in certain places like my mouth, nose and hairline making me feel really embarrassed and self conscious but it looked ok from a distance.

I get lots of freckles on my face when I have a tan so it didn't look natural at all but I can't really blame L'Oreal for that, however I wasn't pleased that it came out more orange than tan coloured. The cream itself is the normal consistency of body/face lotions and it is white but goes darker on your face, but unfortunately mine just came out blotchy. When you put it on you think you've covered everywhere but you are sadly mistaken when you end up with dark patches around your mouth and white patches by your ears. The dead giveaway is your pale neck colour and behind your ears, but I couldn't be bothered doing them as well because it would just look weird. The only good thing about the colour of the cream is that it makes your teeth look whiter but to be honest I'd rather not have an uneven coloured face.
L'Oreal have been going for near enough a century, they started off in Paris when Eugène Schueller developed a hair care formula and have been selling beauty products ever since, so you would have thought that by now they would know how to create a worthwhile face tanning cream. It did moisturise my skin but I already have a moisturising cream so it didn't make much of an impact. On the website it claims to give a "subtle" hint of soft bronzing agent, that "gradually" builds up to give a beautiful natural looking tan - I beg to differ. It also says that it is non-greasy and absorbs quickly, so they're either lying through their teeth or I am one in a million who it doesn't work on. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this every day if you have fair skin even though L'Oreal do, but they probably just want you to run out of it quickly so you have to buy more.
It is really easy to use; all you do is get a blob on your finger and wipe it over your face evenly, but then you must wash your hands afterwards or they'll go orange too. It contains aquamine which moisturises and hydrates and bronzer which darkens the skin, so obviously the more you use the darker your skin will go. The problem with applying it was that you can't tell where you have and haven't rubbed it in because it goes colourless, but saying that I think I'd be a bit put off if it was brown.
It costs around £7.99 for 200ml but personally I would not buy it nor use it ever again. There is a cream for fair skin and one for medium but I don't think L'Oreal really know what fair skin looks like with this on. I do not recommend this product to you if you are looking for a natural and non-blotchy tan.
Advantages
Good consistency
Makes your teeth look whiter
It darkens the skin
Disadvantages
It makes you turn orange
It has an overpowering smell
It makes your face blotchy and the colour uneven
It doesn't look natural at all
Builds up too quickly
It takes ages to sink in properly
You can't tell where you've applied it to
It isn't subtle at all and L'Oreal has made false claims in my opinion
Advantages: Nice healthy glow with out the sun Disadvantages: None
I was given this product as a sample and didn’t really know what to expect.
~ What is it ~
L’Oreal Nutrisummer face is a cream that you apply only to your face to give a golden glow all year round, as well as that it is also a 12 hour moisturiser
It is meant for medium coloured skin.
~ How does it work ~
It has a self tanning agent within the cream so when you apply it to your face it slowly changes the colour of your skin, like being in the ... ...time you can build up the colour to your desired amount, the more you use it the darker the skin appears.
I have been using this for a while now but I don’t use it every day, because I would look stupid having a really brown face and the rest of my body would be a lot paler.
You can see the difference after just one application, so what I do is use it for a day then leave it for a few days before I re-apply it. I guess in the summer you could use ...

Quick review of L'Oreal Nutrisummer Face
I have to be honest and say the reason I bought this product was two fold - a) I needed some facial moisturiser but b) couldn't afford my usual product ( when it's your face or your cars MOT... you get the picture), so when I found Nutrisummer Face going very cheaply in the supermarket I gave it a try. I have used tanning products before and know the pitfalls, but this product was without a doubt the best I have ever used. I can honestly say there has been a noticeable difference in the skin around the eyes, and the added bonus of the gradual tan gives me total control over the depth of colour. I will defintely buy this item again, as well as try their other products. ...

Review of L'Oreal Nutrisummer Face
Advantages: Perfect on fair skin; decent price Disadvantages: Better used on bare skin; no SPF
Whilst flicking through the June edition of Glamour magazine, I came across a three day free sample of L'Oreal's Nutrisummer gradual fake tan and moisturiser. What joy! Intrigued, when I removed my makeup that night, I slathered my face in the stuff and was surprised by its light, pleasant smell. Slightly floral, yet slightly fruity. I then went to bed, giving the lotion 8 hours to do its work. I woke up the next morning and was pleasantly surprised ... ...literally pale as a sheet!). It made me look much healthier, and didn't go orange at all. RESULT! :)
After using up my samples, I toddled down to Superdrug where they were offering 1/3 off the RRP as an introductory offer, which made it £5.29. [This is a fair price, considering a regular Simple or Olay moisturiser is around £5 - £6.] The next morning, I used the moisturiser under my make up as a base, however, I found that this wasn't quite so effective. ...

Advantages: healthy, hydrated skin with a sutle tan Disadvantages: none
I love free samples, so i was quite happy when i received a three day sample through the post. I am personally cautious with all self tanning products - i hate the "you've been Tango'd" effect, but this little beauty does exactly what says on the label
Nutrisummer is a moisturiser with a little bit of self tan added, so not only do you get soft skin you also get a subtle "sun-kissed" tan, now i only used this product for the 3 days but already there ... ...skin tones (i dont know about the effect on medium skin tone) and doesnt leave you looking orange or leave streaks across your face. This is a all-year round product.
Gone is my pale skin and in is a nice healthy glow, which people have actually noticed. Not only do i have a hint of a tan but this product has left my skin feeling healthy and hydrated.
The thing i love about this product (other then then the moisterising of my skin and soft tan) ...

Advantages: natural looking tan, moisterising Disadvantages: takes a while to dry
I tried L'OrealNutrisummer for the first time last summer after realising I just couldn't face getting my pastey pins out in the sun!
I brought it from Boots for £7.92. Prices vary depending on where you shop but is usually between £6 - £7. A 'tone up' bottle of Nutrisummer is also available - it is the same as Nutrisummer but contains caffeine which is meant to tone the skin and reduce the apperance of cellulite. A tone up botte typically costs between £7 - £8.
It comes in different shades - one for fair skin and one for darker skin.
It comes in an attractive looking bottle, which is easy to read and understand. The lid is at the bottom so you don't have to spend time shaking it out when you get to the end.
The first time I used it, I applied it with my bare hands and it took about 10-15 minutes to cover my whole body ...
Advantages: No streaks, easy to use, natural looking tan Disadvantages: You have to keep washing your hands
product is simple; the colours used are peachy/orange and white with gold writing. The white fades into the peachy/orange, which looks really professional and clever, because it shows how the white has become darker - just like how your body will tan. I think that there are different types of this lotion which are fair skin, medium skin or dark skin. You do not use this on your face, there is another lotion for that called........drum roll please.......L'OréalNutriSummerFace!!! I haven't used this before, but it came with the other sample so I will do soon. It doesn't say how to remove it or when it will fade, so I have no idea what you are supposed to do if it goes drastically wrong, but I would just suggest scrubbing it with soap and water.
