Well ladies (and Gentlemen!) we have needed all the help we can get this summer to give us that 'just been in the sun' glow and I can say that I have found my favourite product to help me achieve this.

I have tried numerous self tanners and daily moisturisers with self tan including Johnsons holiday skin (not good, in my opinion) to Fake Bake (great colour, but rubs off on bed sheets, clothes, towels etc) and L'Oreal Nutrisummer stands out as the best, for me.

I bought this in Tesco for £6.99 for 200ml. I have had a look around various shops and it seems that this is the recommended retail price. I guess you may get it cheaper if there are promotions on (or save up the Boots advantage card points!). There are 2 different colours, Medium and Fair. I chose the Medium moisturiser as I already had fading post holiday tan (of sorts!)

Before I tried this moisturiser, I exfoliated to ensure I got a smooth coverage with no tell tale patches on the elbows and knees!
The product itself has a nice, creamy consistency. It is thick enough that it won't drip on the floor but creamy enough that it's easy to rub on the skin. It is applied easily, rubbed on and smoothed over the skin. Once on, it takes a few minutes to dry which I think is very reasonable. There is a slight smell to the product which is not overwhelming in anyway. I would describe it as slightly scented. When the product is on, there is a slight tacky feel the the skin as it dries. Again, nothing I would complain about.

As the product develops there is a distinct self tan smell, often described as burnt biscuits. I don't find the smell an issue but it may be to some.

I applied the moisturiser in the evening, before bed. When I woke in the morning I had a lovely, healthy glow.T he tan was reasonably deep. Nothing too obvious and definitely not orange and there were no patches on the knees and elbows. I then applied the moisturiser the next evening. After the 2nd application I had the colour I was looking for. To maintain this, I do 2 days on and 1 day off, with a good exfoliation at the end of the week. This seems to work perfectly for me. The tube lasts between 2 and 3 months with these applications. (I have only been using the moisturiser on my top half as my legs have already gone into hibernation!)

It is recommended that you wash your hands after application of this product and I would definitely agree. I did end up with yellowy finger nails which is never a good look!

Overall I would recommend this moisturiser as I have tried many and this is the only one I would use again (and again....).

Thanks for reading my review.
