Nourish and repair your hair that has been exposed to sun, sea water, and swimming pool chlorine. You will gently cleanse your hair and remove salt and chlorine, leaving it light,... more...radiant with healthy shine and vitality all summer.
Advantages: Easily lifts brassy or yellow tones. Disadvantages: Chemical smell & too much use will discolour hair.
I occasionally use this product to keep my hair from looking brassy or yellow. It works very well to keep your hair light, but as a result I find that I can only use this product around once or twice a month tops, otherwise my hair will take on a grey or purple tint. You do have to be quite careful when using this product, as the purple colour of the shampoo is so strong that if you don't rinse down your bath or shower immediately it will stain. The bottle is quite small, but since you need to use so little product to get an immediate result you can get a lot of use out of it. It smells very chemically, but the smell doesn't tend to linger after rinsing so you don't really notice. I would reccomend this shampoo to anyone with blonde or lighter hair. ...
Advantages: First part was easy to do with good results Disadvantages: Not easy to do decent streaks on your own
I'm getting on a bit now & my hair would no doubt be grey if I left it alone (perish the thought!!) I started colouring it in the 60's when I was a teenage mod. Over the years, I've used allsorts - usually things I find on special offer. I had a short spell when I could afford to go to the hairdressers and paid anything up to £70 for colours. Now I'm on the pension however, times are tight so I was really pleased when yesterday, I found a box of Couleur Experte in a box at an auction sale. There was also a box of Garnier multi-lights and I got both for £1 - Well I've just used the Couleur Experte (Rum Coffee) and I'm SO pleased with the results.
Unfortunately, I don't look like the girl on the box and I wish I'd left the highlight cream on longer (I chickened out after reading all your revues) I'd certainly save up for another kit ...
Advantages: does what it says on the bottle Disadvantages: makes hair a bit dry and knotty at the ends when wet.
Loreal Professional Sebo Control Shampoo
The Loreal Sebo Control Shampoo is from the serieexpert range of hair products, this includes shampoos, conditioners, serums and leave-in conditioners. This particular shampoo is a purifying shampoo for oily hair. It cost £9.95 plus p&p from a website called hairstyling.co.uk for a 250ml bottle, most of the shampoos and conditioners in this range are also available in a 1500ml salon size, I've seen quite a few of these on ebay. The Loreal professional range isn't widely available on the high street and in supermarkets, its usually found in certain salons that stock Loreal, from hairdressing suppliers and on the internet.
The Sebo Control Shampoo is a balancing shampoo, there is also a conditioner available. The description on the reverse of the bottle is as follows: Sebo Control ...
