Step 1 : Micro Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator Contains high concentration of aluminium oxide micro crystals, an ingredient which is used in professional micro dermabrasions to polish and smooth the surface of the skin.

Ok, so that’s pretty much a summary of what it says on the ‘tin’, or the bright, silver, eyecatching box in this case.
So my trial, last Monday before work, I cleansed, then took the Step 1 tube from the pack, dotting large blobs of the white exfoliator as said on the instructions, onto my forehead, each cheek, chin and nose.
Then using your hands, spread the cream, massaging as you go, until the cream is sunk in, leaving the micro crystals. This whole process should last no more than 2 minutes, again, as stated on the instructions.
Then rinse as you would a normal wash, with plenty of water, patting dry with a towel.
The crystals felt very rough and hard as I did this, but I continued onto step 2, using the moisturiser.
The instructions said to sweep the moisturiser over the face, massaging again, gently, until all is absorbed, which happened in seconds really.
And that was it! Gorgeous, smooth and line free skin – here I come!
Alas, as is usually the case, something always goes wrong for me. The luck of the Irish was not here with me.
My face turned a rather horrid, raw red, felt very hot to the touch, and was generally embarrassing. I had to go to work looking like I was sunburnt from my chin and jawline up!
I assumed this would last a few hours, and then disappear, but only started to go during that night and well into the next day.
Now, I am left with severely peeling skin, red raw in patches, as if the product burnt me! Of course, it was my own fault, I only quickly scanned over the packaging, and I missed out on the don’t use on sensitive skin part!
For those of you with sensitive skin, I would advise you not to even life the box up for fear of its contents. Instead of my usual lines and uneven skin, I now have raw, peeling, scaly patches. Great way to celebrate my birthday and Christmas next week! Yipee!
