I have been using this product for about 4 weeks now, and having read some other reviews, thought I'd write my own.
The Packaging:- Eye-catching, modern-looking, silver box containing 1x 60ml Micro-DermabrasionResurfacingExfoliator, in a silver tube, 1 x 40ml Post-TReatment Optimising Moisturiser, SPF15, in a white tube.
The Product(s):- The Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator is quite a thick cream, containing loads of Aluminium oxide micro crystals. The Post-Treatment optimising Moisturiser, SPF 15, is quite a thin, light moisturiser containing Vitamin E.
How to Use:- The pack contains a leaflet showing full step-by-step instructions for correct application, here's my brief version: 1. Cleanse face 2. Wet face and neck all over (Important if you don't want to rub your face raw!!) 3. Apply a small amount of the Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator to the nose, forehead, chin and each cheek. 4.Using your fingertips, in small circular motions, gently massage on each cheek, then follow with the forehead, use gentle strokes down the nose and sides of nose, and then finally use gentle strokes to massage into the chin. 5. Complete this cycle for a maximum of 2 minutes. If it is making your skin sore, either a) wash it off with warm water straight away, or b) try using less pressure to massage it in with. After a maximum of 2 minutes, rinse your face with warm water and pat dry. (Do not rub dry and your skin might be a little sensitive now.) 5. Immediately follow with the Post-Treatment Optimising Moisturiser, SPF 15 by again applying a small amount to each of the nose, forehead, chin and each cheek. 6. Using gentle strokes, slowly massage into the skin, starting with the nose, then the chen and each cheek, finishing with the forehead.
What is it supposed to do?:- The 1st Step, the Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator, is designed to gently lift away old, dull, dead skin cells on the top layer of the skin, to reveal, newer, freasher skin cells underneath. Step 2, the Post-Treatment Optimising Moisturiser, is used to smooth and protect and nourish the skin after treatment.
The result:- My skin always looks a little red afterwards, but I notice my skin is visibly smoother and refined. For me it usually takes a couple of hours for the redness to go, so where as it advises to use in the morning (Except for the first treatment, which it advises to use at night for optimium results), I always use it at night. The effects usually last for a day or two before I need to re-do it, however, it is only a twice-weekly treatment. While I cannot say I have noticed any difference in the fine lines (To be fair, I am only 25 and don't really have many), the main benefit of this product for me is that since I have been using it, I have not been getting the awful skin breakouts I used to. Nothing else has changed so I can only assume it is down to using this product.
Adverse Reactions?:- I have reasonably sensitive skin, and have not yet had any adverse reactions to this product.
Other Information:- It is advised that while using this product, you should use a moisturiser of at least SPF 15 every day, even if it is not a treatment day, as the newer skin cells will be more sensitive to the sunlight. I also thought it strange that you are supplied with less of the Post-Treatment Optimising Moisturiser than of the Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator, but I have noticed that infact, you need to use less of the moisturiser. The product claims to contain enough for 30 applications, having used for around 4 weeks, and I am just under 1/2 way through the pack, I would say it probably wouldn't last quite that long.
Disadvantages:- Effects do not last between treatments, so best to save for the day, or day before, you want the effects noticed!
Price:- Around £15
Where to buy:- Most good health & beauty retailers, such as Superdrug, Boots etc..

I would need something longer lasting so I think I'll keep an eye out for something else. I have quite flaky skin - disgusting I know! It makes it so hard to use foundation so I could use a cure for eczema, lol! - Danielle x
Advantages: Gorgeous healthy looking skin, smoother texture, costs less than professional with same results Disadvantages: breakouts after first few treatments, redness
