As a sun worshiper… I just love having a nice tan, so in the winter, or the beginning of summer I use a fake tan. I've used many different brands of self-tanning, and I have found L'Oreal Self-Tan Spray to be very good, with effective results.
~ Application ~
On the bottle the application instructions are not that detailed compared to other fake tans I've used. All it says is:
Use
· Spray directly on to body and spread evenly. · Wash hands well after use. · Use daily until desired tan is achieved, after which use 2 or 3 times a week.
Now that is all you may have to do, but I prefer to wash and exfoliate before application, and also moisturise, especially those dry areas like knees, ankles and elbows, if the skin is dry, you will tend to get very orange looking areas.
The bottle has spray action, which may make you think it's easier application, but really is just the same as a cream would be, as you still have to rub the liquid in to your skin, so just spraying it really doesn't matter.
Texture
· Light and non-greasy texture. · Dries quickly, leaving no greasy film.
Other creams I have used do tend to leave your legs greasy and slippery, but L'Oreal Self-Tan Spray is water like, and very absorbent, also easy to apply.
Results
· First tan starts to appear after 1 hour. · Even and natural looking tan. · Smooth and silky skin.
Now it says on the bottle, the first tan will start to appear after 1 hour. I felt for me it took about 2 hours to see any changing results. My skin did feel lovely after application, so maybe that was down to the 'Smoothing Effect' :o)
However long it takes the tan to appear on you, the final results are very natural looking, and you will be very happy with your tan.
A 150ml bottle will usually cost you £9.99. And lasts very well. I got mine from Boots on offer for £4.95. So if you keep your eye out on the sales you'll get a good deal.
I highly recommend L'OrealSelf-Tan Spray, either for first time tanners, or tanners like me who love to bronze :o)
Advantages: Quick tan development time, very natural and easy to apply Disadvantages: Sometimes quite difficult to dispence, packaging can become greasy during application
