This is a cream coloured bottle, base opening with a flip lid, it contains 150mls or 5fl oz. The L'Oreal logo is on the front along with the name absolut repair .It is made of hard plastic and is handy for the shower.
The Conditioner ******************
The conditioner is a off white colour and is quite thick I put some into the palm of my hand and turned my hand over and it stayed where I had put it, Great because usually mine ends up running down the plug hole…still it keeps the drain well conditioned…It smells of melons and is quite a fruity smell not overly perfumed I like that.
Application. *************
The instructions say Apply to shampooed hair leave for up to 2 minutes and then rinse I put about a 2" by 2" blob onto the palm of my hand it just about covered the inner part of my palm, I then rubbed my hands together to distribute it evenly through my hair, I have shoulder length average thickness hair, and the amount I used was not enough I had to use some more to do the underside of my hair at the back, I would say it took nearly twice the amount of my usual conditioner, When I was satisfied I had covered my hair from root to tip, I used a comb to make sure every strand was covered I was surprised to find that most of the conditioner stayed on my hair there was very little in the comb, I waited 2 minutes and then rinsed. I did not notice any immediate difference it was no more soft than with any other conditioner.

After using L'Oreal hydra repair as usual I dried and styled my hair in the way I always have and to be perfectly honest I have not seen any difference, this the third use of this product and there is NO difference what so ever. The claim on the packaging is that it 'repairs and revitalises the damaged hair surface' and 'gives instant detangling for soft protected hair' Well my hair does feel soft and it isn't tangled but no more than with my usual conditioner.
Cost and Where to buy. **************************
I have not seen this in the shops and I cannot find it listed at boots, the only place I have seen it is on the web…after a search I found the most reasonable price was at www.lookfantastic.com their price is £8.25 but if you join as a member you can get it for £7.01. There is P&P on top but if you buy three products in the range you get a free gift. www.beautysleuth.co.uk are offering it at £8.25 and their P&P is only 99p.

Am I impressed…Not really it doesn't appear to be any better than my usual conditioner. It smells very nice and is very thick so no running away and it does stay on my hair. But I had to use a lot more making it quite expensive. It would be unfair of me to say this conditioner is not any good, it did detangle my hair and it did leave it soft but it did not repair the damaged hair surface. That said my hair is very damaged from colouring and the constant use of heat, so I am recommending it to potential buyers because it may be more useful if your hair just needs a boost.

Review of L'Oreal Serie Expert Absolut Repair Conditioner
I bought this conditioner on a well-known online auction site as I was tired of the build up that the usual brands left in my hair, and I detest leave-in conditioners and serums etc. I like L’Oreal products anyway, so thought I’d give it a go. Naturally a fairly dark brunette, I have been lightening my hair to a very pale blonde since 1983, and it was definitely in need of some TLC. Packaging: Yellow flip top bottle which stores on its flat top lid.

Appearance: Thick pale yellow cream.
Smell: Slightly fruity, but not overpowering
Directions: After shampooing, squeeze out as much moisture as possible and squirt a blob on your hands, then run the conditioner evenly through your hair. My hair is just past shoulder-length and medium textured so I give it a walnut-sized blob. I wash my hair in the shower, so I leave the conditioner on for as long as it takes ...

...brush through it at all. Ive thrown it away now and got a hot oil intensive trewtment instead and even after 1 wash it feels softer. the only good thing to say about the l'oreal is that it smells nice but i feel i wasted my money ...
