In my mission to find a good self tanner i found the Sublime Bronze self tanning milk in Boots on special offer of a 1/3 off. It normally retails for £10.99 fo a 150ml bottle but is curently on sale for £7.32.
I chose the Sublime Bronze poduct by L'oreal after seeing the advert for their dry mist spray. It was also tested on the pogramme 'This Morning' and the results looked really good. I thought the spray may stain everywhere which is why i chose the milk instead.
~~Packaging~~
This product comes in a lovely bronzed tan coloured bottle which has a pump action. You turn the lid side ways to lock it so theres no risk of it leaking or being knocked and getting the product everywhere.
It has the L'oreal Paris logo at the top of the bottle in gold with Sublime Bronze underneath in white and brown writing. It also says its a Self Tanning Smooth Melting Milk Fluid that gives you 12 hour hydration and a streak free natural looking tan.
As i have already tested the Garnier Summer Body product on my legs i have used this one on my arms. I like the fact it's a pump action as it gives you a nice controlled amount of the cream. It comes out white and is fairly light, it's not a runny product like i thought it would be with it saying 'milk' on the bottle, it's a cream consistency.
It spreads very well and melts in and dries very quickly. I was able to get dressed again after only a couple of minutes. The smell is very pleasent although hard to think of something to describe the smell as so i'd just go with a summery smell.
It also leaves the skin feeling very soft and moisturised.
It says on the bottle the tan stats to appear within 1 hour but it took longer with me and appeared gradually over 2 to 3 hours. I did this in the evening so left it until the next morning to check out the results.
~~ Results ~~
By the next morning you could definitely see a difference on my arms. Although it had gone quite patchy round my elbows it had covered very evenly and streak free on the tops of my arms and i was very impressed. It also hadn't left any nasty smells, the smell you get when you apply is what you'll be left with all day which is nice and bearable. I have had to do a second application to even it out more round my elbows but after just 2 applications my arms are the same colour as my legs which took about 5 days to get the colour i wanted using the Garnier Summer Body.
So if you wanted a quick glow for an evening out then this would definitely be worth getting, just apply a couple of days before your off to give you time for a second application if needed. The other good thing is if you used this early enough in the morning and it went patchy you can still re-apply to even it out on the same day as it doesnt take too long to start appearing.
It recommends using this 2-3 times a week once you have your desired colour to maintain it.
