Firstly a little but of background. Im only 15 but and ive been dying my hair for about 3 years first of all i just had highlights but then i changed my mind about them and dyed my hair black. My natural hair colour is a very dark brown. About 3 months ago i decided i was fed up of having black hair and decided to prelighten it. This was proberly the best thing i have ever done to be honest. Yes it did turn my hair bright orange but when i put a brown hair dye all over it, it left my hair a nice arubrn/brown colour :) If you have dyed your hair black in the past and want to remove it i would recomned L'Orealsuper blonde prelightener , but on the instructions it says to apply it to the roots first, i wouldnt advise doing this because your natural colour will lift alot quicker than where your hair has been colourd. I did this the other way round, so i put it on the ends first and then the roots last. In total i had the product on for about 40 mins. My hair was quite dry afterwards, so i put the conditioner on that was supplied with it and then with the conditioner STILL on my hair i blow dried it for about 5 mins to help penetrate the prodcut then left it to cool before rinsing. This worked miricles and i would strongly recomend doing this to anybody who has prelightend their hair.

My mum would've killed me if i'd dyed my hair when I was only 12! This sounds a bit drastic, didn't you panic when your hair went orange? I'll stick to my usual colour. Alexandra x
Advantages: removes even black hair dye well, and leaves your hair in good condition Disadvantages: will most certainly turn your hair coppery ( unless fair haired to start with)
