Right ciaoers'..here I am -going to espostulate (is that a word??!)on the marvellous invention of a semi-useful product called; "new L'oreal kids tangle tamer for wet or dry hair." phew...and if you can remember THAT title, then I'm the princess of sheba!
I don't know about your kids but whenever it's time to brush the unruly locks, there is so much tantrum-so many tears and moans that anyone within a ten mile radius must think I am murdering the little darlings. Without exception, brushing of hair is NOT at the top of their list of things to do,and try as I might, threaten, plead cajole or blackmail;even my 12yr old daughter with her first boyfriend (aahh) is the worst-and with the longest and waviest of dark hair cascading gently down her back-styles have reduced her to tears on more than one occassion, sending her back to the bathroom, nearly slamming the door of its' hinges as she goes,to re-do a poorly-done job properly,-so is nothing short of a chinese torture burn, and
a daily nightmare..so-one day last week,I'd had quite enough of the pre-teen bickering slamming, ear piercing screeching wails and voice strainings and decided to get smart and scout my trusty asda's for a quick and simple remedy:The solution?
A kids' tangle Tamer for wet or dry hair,of course!! Now L'oreal is not a brand I'd normally buy,due to the over exorbitant price..(there must be a bit of scots in me..heh..sorry jeannie, and any one else scottish!) Normally,Asda's own family shampoo is more than adequate for me,but I made the exception, and thought I'd give it a try. This is what I found..
THE PACKAGING:
A ridiculously small,lime-(no,not slime!)green plastic bottle. fairly funky in colour and shape,and definately and suitably teeny bopperish stared back at me.(A bit light weight-it kept getting knocked over which is fairly annoying),with a lemon-yellow coloured nozzle;thankfully it proved to be gunk-free and smooth spraying with use. The front label was simply presented. A black eye logo,with the words;"new L'oreal kids tangle tamer for wet or dry hair" underneath,promising;
Quick Detangling! No Tears! No knots! And at the bottom; All hair types-burst of sweet pear.
On the back label it tells you that this conditioning formula tackles even the knottiest hair, taming "bed head",leaving it shinier and feeling clean all day.
SMELL,CONSISTANCY: I unscrewed the lid and sniffed. Yes,definately sweet.Definately pear, moderately artificial..not too bad then. And it smelt gloriously divine! Now for the awkward bit-the product is as clear as drinking water, but a wee bit awkward to use, due to it's very thin watery like consistancy. If you have fine hair-you are drenched in seconds,on short hair you'd then have to blow dry it!!but at least it would mean a little goes a long way... L'oreal Kids tangle Tamer is so gentle it's tear free. What's more it is tested under ophlalmologist control. It tells you the bottle is easy to hold, for even the tiniest of hands...
DIRECTIONS:
WET hair: Towel dry.Apply.Comb out. DRY hair: Bed head?Tangles? no time to wash hair?(you betcha!)Apply. Comb out. No need to rinse.
That simple!
BUT DOES IT WORK:
I felt it was a bit sticky when I experimented on the palm of my hand. "silly mummy!" Anna scoffed,"It's for your hair-stupid,doh!" It took a while to dry,but it definately worked-gliding through Anna's hair as a duck to butter, and the rats'tails/dragged through a bush backwards look began to emerge into silken tresses...wow. AND it makes dull dry hair quite glossy looking, with the wet look. By now Anna was looking positively glam and gorgeous. I was quite impressed, actually.
ANY WARNINGS: Avoid spraying into eyes, rinse immediately. Do not swallow..(Doh!) Keep out of Infants' reach unless supervised.use only when upright.(??)
INGREDIANTS:
There are about 10 of them, which I am not allowed to mention. A few are innocuous. L'oreal is produced in london W6 BAZ and Paris.

In a tiny box near the bottom of the back label, you can just make out the some tiny writing and a consumer phone number for the U.K. and Eire,-unfortunately for me the numbers are illegible-and I don't normally have a problem...but you might have some luck-try a magnifying glass...!!???!!
For further info.contact their website;sure to be helpful.
Oh yes,the price for a 200ml bottle (Asda) is £1.98. Or:99p for the 100ml. And there it is.... just one problem-it 'aint permanant-and doesn't last long....
"Anna.....!Anna??" nothing.silence.
"ANNA!"
"WOT?"(snapped moodily in the distance under muffled covers, making Basil jump)
"...Time to Brush your hair!"
