For a long while now, I've been using the Maybelline 'Define a Lash' mascara - & I've always thought highly of it. However, the other day it finally occured to me that although I'd been "bigging it up" all these months...it actually wasn't as good as I'd thought/made it out to be. After looking at other peoples eyelashes, mine looked non-existant in comparison. So after digging through my make-up bag, I suprisingly found a brand new telescopic mascara which I'd bought a long time ago but obviously never got round to using!!!
PACKAGING:-
A rather funny colour...I don't know, it's a mix of bronze/gold/dull grey?? Lets just say it looks like a cheap gold colour haha. The base of the mascara is large so you can stand the mascara up, & is very stable. I find this very helpful as usually the mascara bottle rolls everywhere!! However with this, you can rest assured it is going nowhere. The word 'telescopic' is written in black writing covering the whole length of the tube. Overall, I actually think the packaging is very practical. It may not be the prettiest thing in the world but come on, who cares - as long as you're getting beautiful eyelashes nobody cares!!!
APPLICATION:-
When I unscrewed the lid of the mascara, I found that the wand was very...well...different to what I'm used to. I was a bit sceptical at first - the wand looked caked in gloopy, thick mascara. The wand has 4 'rows' of brushes, kinda hard to explain, but bascially the wand is shaped kinda like a star. So anyway, I started applying the mascara to my lashes, & at first, I was just like "ummm..." ; my eyelashes were sticking together!! But anyway, after about 3 strokes with the wand, my lashes were perfectly seperated! I was actually in awe, honestly. My eyelashes are short & mascaras usually never have much of an effect on them. But with this telescopic mascara, my lashes were perfectly lengthened & curled with barely 1 coat!!! Trust me, that isn't even an exaggeration haha. I find the mascara very easy to apply, & the shape of the wand allows me to coat all of my lashes with mascara, which is very helpful. The mascara is rather quick to dry, not very, but I'd give it about a 7.5 outta 10 on that scale. I usually apply 2 or 3 coats of this mascara because I find that even if I let each coat dry it NEVER EVER EVER CLUMPS!!! How fantastic is that?? My eyelashes look near-close to false eyelashes, & remember, I have very short eyelashes!! When my friends saw me, each of them said "WOW!" that's how amazing it is.
RESULTS:-
Gorgeous, long, volumized lashes! Seriously, I would recommend ANYONE to purchase this. I promise you this mascara will shock you. Definately the best mascara I have ever ever ever purchases. My eyelashes are clump-free & the longest & volumized I have ever seen them - remember that my eyelashes were very short. So if you have long eyelashes naturally...omg, lets just say they will definately look like false eyelashes if you wear this mascara haha! It has never irritated my eyes, & I actually have sensitive eyes. This mascara isn't waterproof, but it seriously doesn't need to be as it doesn't budge unless you use your eye makeup remover/makeup wipes.
10/10 for telescopic, definately.
