...wearing make-up.
L'Oreal claims that the product lasts eight hours, and I'd say that was generally true. I can go all day without having to re-apply, and it'll look just as good as when I left the house in the morning.
I wear this product on top of a tinted moisturiser, and it blends almost seamlessly with that.
It's easy to remove the product, just a quick swipe of a face wipe does the trick.
...I also use it for covering blemishes on other areas of my face. Perhaps I'm lazy, or perhaps I'm too cheap to buy another product to do this, but I find Touche Magique works just fine at this as well!
**Packaging**
The product comes in a small, thin tube, the same colour as the product within and just smaller than a pen. It has a pull-off cap, beneath which you'll find the brush.
In the search for the perfect undereye concealer, you want something that's light, blends in well and covers dark circles. L'Oreal's Touche Magique claims to do all that. But does it work?
**The Product**
The product claims the following:
"Banish dark circles, fine lines and imperfections with new Touche Magique Concealer. The anti-fatigue and illuminating concealer visibly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the delicate skin around the eye area looking radiant and smooth for up to 8 hours. Touche Magique has a soft brush applicator, making precise and controlled application easy."
The colour range includes:
· Porcelain Beige · Ivory Beige · Warm Beige
**Testing**
After playing with the testers in the shop, I chose the warm beige colour, as the Porcelain and Ivory were too pale for my skin. After application and before blending, the product looks slightly darker than it will be when you're finished. The product is a liquid concealer.
The product is very easy to apply, as it is pen shaped with a soft brush at the end. To get the product into the brush, you turn the other end anti-clockwise until you hear it click.
A little goes a long way, so you only need a dab under each eye, and then you can blend it in with whichever method you prefer. I personally use my fingers, and this is quite effective, though I imagine a soft make-up sponge would also do the trick. It blends very well with my skin, and doesn't sit on top like some concealers do. As long as you've chosen the right colour, I would imagine that no lines would be visible - at least, they're not for me!
Once on, the product does not feel heavy or sticky, like some concealers do, and neither does it have the chalky texture of others. I've tried other concealers in this style, and they've come out too orangey - not this one.
This product is very good at doing what it says it does. It definitely covers my dark circles and gives the undereye area a brighter, fresher look. I've often stared amazed into my mirror, having done one eye and comparing it with the other - you can barely see the dark circle, and it doesn't look like you're wearing make-up.
Although this product is aimed at covering undereye circles, I also use it for covering blemishes on other areas of my face.
The tube has product information on it in gold writing, which is neither intrusive nor ugly.
**Costs**
I bought my Touche Magique concealer from Boots for £6.99. This is quite pricey for a concealer - but when you consider its inspiration, the Yves St Laurent Touche Eclat at £15, it's a bargain.
I bought my first Touche Magique in March 2007, and it lasted until just before Christmas, so the longevity is great for the price you're paying. This was with using it almost every day.
**Overall**
I'd highly recommend this product, not only for covering dark undereye circles but other blemishes as well. I find it works a lot better than a lot of other concealers on the market, and the price and longevity of the product is also good in comparison.

How long does it last?
Mine has lasted quite a while, about 4 months and I've still got some left. It lasts up to 8 hours once applied. I would definately recommend trying it, it's well worth the money and actually does what it says without looking cakey or piled on. ...

--How do you apply it?--
It's really easy to apply actually. I thought it would be difficult after first seeing it, but after a couple of minutes of frustration soon realised that the end had to be turned a couple of times (so it clicks) for the concealer to appear on the bristles. Simply cover the blemish with the liquid. I guess you could ...

Advantages: Easy to apply, blends in easily Disadvantages: none
As usual I managed to get this through a freebie site. It is quite unusual for a concealer to have a brush on the end but this one does and I wouldn't use anything again!
PACKAGING
The concealer comes in a very simple but very nice pen type affair! It has a see through lid which when pulled off reveals a brush, the top is see through, and you can twist it to send the concealer through to the brush. The colour of the packaging is flesh coloured ... ...simpler method that the usual stick concealers which sometimes tend to get a bit gunky and dont rub in properly. To use this you twist the top of the pen until it snicks a few times, you take the lid of the end and to reveal the brush, the concealer is pushed through the middle of the brush. You then apply the concealer to where you need it, and because it has a brush on the end you can apply it to precisely where you need it and the amount that ...

Advantages: Covers dark circles well, reduces appearance of fine lines, cheap Disadvantages: None!
I am always trying to find a concealer which banishes my awful dark circles and I think I may have found it in this product! My dark circles are genetic (my mum and dad both had them) and I have tried everything to get rid of them - from expensive eye creams to the 'cucumbers on the eyes' trick to drinking litres of water each day. Nothing ever seemed to work naturally, so I started to look for the perfect concealer.
I read about Touche Magique ... ...was only £6) I thought I would give it a go. I chose the porcelain beige shade which was the lightest.
The concealer has quite basic packaging. It does not come in a box, and the concealer comes in a white tube, which you turn at the end so the concealer comes out through the little brush at the other end, and it says 'Touche Magique' on the side in metallic writing.
When I put it on at first I thought it was too yellow, but I found that a yellow ...

Advantages: Good coverage, non greasy, good colour, stylish. Disadvantages: A little more pricey than some.
...concealers but having tried other L'Oreal make-up products and being impressed I forked out a few extra pennies on a Touche Magique concealer.
Admittedly make-up shouldn't be about the packaging but I have to say I think the Touche Magique concealer pen is stylish and nice to look at in its transcluscent cylinder with silver writing. It is a 'pen' design, approximately 12cm long with a brush at one end protected by a little cap and the other end ... ...product is that like all L'Oreal products it is a little pricey compared to some other brands. However, considering the coverage it provides and the fact that you don't need very much of the product at a time hence it should last longer, I think it's not bad value for money at all. I will definately be buying another when mine runs out. ...

Advantages: none Disadvantages: over priced, poor quality
I have used L'orealstouchemagique concealer for many years, but decided to try Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Highlighter as a lot of people have said how good it is. When I first applied it, it did not seem to cover up dark circles half as good as the concealer I currently use. The packaging and pen its self does look good, it is very easy to apply and does look better compared to not wearing any concealer or highlighter at all.
This product in my opinion is poor value for money, compared to other products on the market, that do a much better job of concealing and highlighting that are half the price. I believe that you are paying for the name rather than the quality of the product. ...
Advantages: It's Benefit, lasts a long time Disadvantages: too orange, doesn't hide blemishes too well, rubbish texture
as well as other concealers I've tried in the past (particularly L'OrealToucheMagique, which I've also reviewed for Ciao).
Sorry I'm not able to comment on packaging and value for money due to the circumstances in which I tried it.
Having said all this, it does stay on your skin quite well and doesn't slide off, so at least it has longevity going for it; and it may work well for some people even though it didn't for me. I would strongly recommend using a friend's or having your makeup done at a Benefit counter and trying it that way before splashing out. ...

products. Collection 2000 is known to make many other cosmetic items such as foundations, lipsticks and mascaras. I have used their powder blushes and a few other products in their range and have found they all do a great job. The products are usually quite simply designed with no fancy lettering or images but their message gets across and the company is not without its fans.
HOW DOES IT COMPARE WITH OTHER BRANDS?
Among the dozens of concealing products on the market today this concealer could probably stand with them and do just as good a job. Clinique have their airbrush concealer, there's the
infamous and widely acclaimed YSL Touche Eclat pen,and then there's L'Oreal's ToucheMagique brand. These often expensive and fancy, more well known brands may have the head start in the competition but Collection 2000 is a quiet contender ...
