Being a teenager means im prone to those evil blemishes a lot. I received the 'pen' (as a freebie) in December 2004.
--Background-- Created in Paris, the L'Oreal Company produces many lines of beauty products, from eyeliner to hair gel. Over the past few years it has established it's self as one of the leading cosmetic companies worldwide. L'Oreal state they have not tested products on animals since 1989 (yay).
--Packaging-- It doesn't come in a box and has roughly the same dimensions as a pen, therefore making it stand out. The exterior is the same colour as the concealer its self, with 'Touche Magique' in gold letters. 'Anti-fatigue and illuminating concealer - smoothing effect' is printed below in smaller letters.
--How do you apply it?-- It's really easy to apply actually. I thought it would be difficult after first seeing it, but after a couple of minutes of frustration soon realised that the end had to be turned a couple of times (so it clicks) for the concealer to appear on the bristles. Simply cover the blemish with the liquid. I guess you could also use the pen, or a finger to blend but I use a sponge to give a more natural look (after all isn't that what concealers are for?) I'd advise putting moisturiser on before apply, if you don't already. This stops the icky dryness that concealers occasionally leave. If you're wondering about hygiene, I'd recommend this as the bristles can be washed without affecting the consistency of the product.
--What does it do?-- Exactly what it says. Clearly making your eyes look younger and less tired without the usual alarming monotone colour which other products leave. After being told I looked 'stoned' by half of my school friends for the past 3 years they certainly did notice the difference. It illuminates the eye area with the reflecting micro particles contained within it. Not only good is it good for eyes, it covers the skin not too thickly yet still hides spots.
--How long does it last?-- I say that it lasts 7-8 hours which is more than average cover-up products, and believe me, there's around 10 in my room. It lasted for around 4 months when used around 6 times a week.
Overall, although slightly most expensive than other high street cover-ups your gaining quality, staying and lasting power.
