In the search for the perfect undereye concealer, you want something that's light, blends in well and covers dark circles. L'Oreal's Touche Magique claims to do all that. But does it work?
**The Product**
The product claims the following:
"Banish dark circles, fine lines and imperfections with new Touche Magique Concealer. The anti-fatigue and illuminating concealer visibly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the delicate skin around the eye area looking radiant and smooth for up to 8 hours. Touche Magique has a soft brush applicator, making precise and controlled application easy."
The colour range includes:
· Porcelain Beige · Ivory Beige · Warm Beige
**Testing**
After playing with the testers in the shop, I chose the warm beige colour, as the Porcelain and Ivory were too pale for my skin. After application and before blending, the product looks slightly darker than it will be when you're finished. The product is a liquid concealer.
The product is very easy to apply, as it is pen shaped with a soft brush at the end. To get the product into the brush, you turn the other end anti-clockwise until you hear it click.
A little goes a long way, so you only need a dab under each eye, and then you can blend it in with whichever method you prefer. I personally use my fingers, and this is quite effective, though I imagine a soft make-up sponge would also do the trick. It blends very well with my skin, and doesn't sit on top like some concealers do. As long as you've chosen the right colour, I would imagine that no lines would be visible - at least, they're not for me!
Once on, the product does not feel heavy or sticky, like some concealers do, and neither does it have the chalky texture of others. I've tried other concealers in this style, and they've come out too orangey - not this one.
This product is very good at doing what it says it does. It definitely covers my dark circles and gives the undereye area a brighter, fresher look. I've often stared amazed into my mirror, having done one eye and comparing it with the other - you can barely see the dark circle, and it doesn't look like you're wearing make-up.
L'Oreal claims that the product lasts eight hours, and I'd say that was generally true. I can go all day without having to re-apply, and it'll look just as good as when I left the house in the morning.
I wear this product on top of a tinted moisturiser, and it blends almost seamlessly with that.
It's easy to remove the product, just a quick swipe of a face wipe does the trick.
Although this product is aimed at covering undereye circles, I also use it for covering blemishes on other areas of my face. Perhaps I'm lazy, or perhaps I'm too cheap to buy another product to do this, but I find Touche Magique works just fine at this as well!
**Packaging**
The product comes in a small, thin tube, the same colour as the product within and just smaller than a pen. It has a pull-off cap, beneath which you'll find the brush.
The tube has product information on it in gold writing, which is neither intrusive nor ugly.
**Costs**
I bought my Touche Magique concealer from Boots for £6.99. This is quite pricey for a concealer - but when you consider its inspiration, the Yves St LaurentTouche Eclat at £15, it's a bargain.
I bought my first Touche Magique in March 2007, and it lasted until just before Christmas, so the longevity is great for the price you're paying. This was with using it almost every day.
**Overall**
I'd highly recommend this product, not only for covering dark undereye circles but other blemishes as well. I find it works a lot better than a lot of other concealers on the market, and the price and longevity of the product is also good in comparison.

With 2 kids and 1 on the way i suffer from the dreaded dark circles lol but i would never buy these things because 9 times out of 10 they dont work, ive been told the YSL one is not as good as it sounds. But after reading this and for the sake of £6.99 i think i might honestly go and buy it.
Great review
